  • Can a Pool Pump Save Your Home From Wildfire?
    Oct 23 2026

Hour 1 (10.22) A fire official told Mark McNabb he might have died if he’d stayed to fight the Norte Fire with his new pool pump. He and his wife had 20 minutes to grab what mattered and go.

6:05 Two men and a woman were pulled from the rain-swollen Pacoima Wash in North Hills Thursday morning as one of the season’s first big storms-soaked Southern California. LAFD crews used a helicopter hoist and a ladder truck to reach them.

6:20 How do you keep going when life gets hard? Susan Fries of Ecola Termite & Pest Control shares the mindset that gets her through. Plus: When did your kid get their first phone?

6:35 The Norte Fire tore through San Clemente and San Juan Capistrano last Friday. Mark McNabb had just remodeled, adding a fire-resistant roof and a pool pump to fight flames. OCFA’s Steve Concialdi told him that staying with that pump may have cost him his life.

6:50 Losing a home to a fire, flood or tornado turns every day into a struggle. McNabb, owner of Surf City Printing, talks about getting back on your feet after disaster.

  • First Fire, Now Winds Snapped San Clemente Palms
    Oct 23 2026

Hour 2 (10.22) Winds likely topping 58 mph snapped palm trees in San Clemente just days after the Norte Fire, and a “gustnado” spun up in Victorville. Plus: Ralphs’ parent company Kroger is cutting 3,000 jobs.

7:05 First the Norte Fire, now this. A violent storm cell tore through San Clemente, snapping a palm and uprooting trees near the municipal golf course. The National Weather Service says it wasn’t a tornado but straight-line winds, likely over 58 mph. After the heat we just went through, we needed the rain.

7:20 Rapper Foenem’s viral Brewer's anthem became the soundtrack of Milwaukee’s NLCS sweep of the Dodgers. How does it stack up against L.A.’s own theme songs?

7:35 Kroger, which owns Ralphs and Food 4 Less, plans to cut about 3,000 corporate jobs over three years as new CEO Greg Foran expands its use of AI. Plus: the latest on a deadly police investigation in Arcadia and Pasadena.

7:50 A “gustnado” spun up near Highway 395 in Victorville as the storm moved through the High Desert. It’s a short-lived whirl kicked up along a thunderstorm’s gust front, not a true tornado.

  • Airbnb Checkout Rules: No More Dishes
    Oct 23 2026

Hour 3 (10.22) Starting Nov. 20, Airbnb hosts can’t make you wash dishes, strip beds or take out the trash. Plus: who gets up to $200 from Amazon, and a woman who cried for three hours over a seat swap.

8:05 Carnival is moving its drink and Wi-Fi packages to dynamic pricing on Dec. 1, with prices that shift by cruise length, itinerary and season. Is that a better deal for cruisers, or just a bigger bill in peak season?

8:20 JetBlue’s first kid-free flight is an adults-only charter out of JFK, sold only as part of a Virgin Voyages cruise package. Plus: a lawnmower theft in Santa Monica, and Mark McNabb on losing his home in the Norte Fire.

8:35 For bookings made on or after Nov. 20, Airbnb hosts can’t require guests to do dishes, strip beds, run laundry or take out the trash, even when you’re paying a hefty cleaning fee. Prime members who signed up between 2019 and 2025 could automatically get up to $200 from Amazon’s $2.5 billion FTC settlement. And Anthropic’s draft IPO filing shows an $80.7 billion first-half loss, mostly on paper. Would you buy stock in a company that’s losing money?

8:50 Travel blogger Tomiko Harvey refused to trade her aisle seat for a middle seat on a 10-hour flight so a woman could sit next to her husband. She says the woman cried for three hours. Would you swap? Dolly Parton celebration from across the entertainment industry on CMA.

  • The Tide is High in SoCal and the Armpit of the Valley is Holding On
    Oct 22 2026

Hour 1 (10.21) 6:05 — Ding-dong with this rain! It's putting Timmy in a great mood — it is sensational when it rains! Especially in the filthy San Fernando Valley where Tim the Valley-dweller has always... dwelled. Meanwhile, San Clemente is dealing with burn scars and no vegetation following the recent Norte Fire earlier this week, with rains bringing the threat of mudslides.

6:20 — Tim went to Starbucks today, and the only thing people were talking about was the rain. It's big news in Southern California! He likes it when something makes people remove their noses from their phones. People who live in South Orange County listen to KFI and these are the people impacted by the Norte Fire, king tides and the rain. A local emergency has been declared down there. We're getting attacked on all fronts! Meanwhile, in Laguna Beach, they're doing emergency repairs on a massive crack on the PCH, near to where they have Pageant of the Masters.

6:35 — In Newport Beach they're preparing for rain and another potentially dangerous surf situation, with emergency alerts activated due to flooding fears. In Long Beach, the peninsula people are still bracing for the worst as a storm approaches. Those homes used to have 100 yards of sand, carparks, and volleyball courts between them and the Pacific Ocean. Not anymore, with those waves practically in their living rooms. Everyone who lives near the ocean is friendly with their neighbors. In Burbank where Timmy lives? Not so much.

6:50 — With burn areas following SoCal wildfires, Oxnard has issued a flashflood warning in the Malibu and Topanga areas. Rain over an inch forecast throughout the night in areas including the Valley, Agoura Hills and Orange County. Driving in SoCal when it's raining is very dangerous. We could listen to Dallas Raines all night long.

  • Dump Dinner: Dive in Like the Pig You Are, Tinfoil Optional. That Sure Ain't a Meat Cute
    Oct 22 2026

Hour 2 (10.21) 7:05 — What's up with Conway's massive flannel shirt today? It's a 3X Tall! He'll never tell us the real reason why, but his wife Jen sure will. They were up north and went to Fred Meyer for the Carhartt sale. She saw the shirt on the rack and thought it'd be perfect for The Foosh. They were up in Oregon, and Timmy was freezing, so he took the gift meant for Foosh and wore it himself. The Foosh weighs 220 pounds. Tim weighs less than 160 pounds. Will the shirt fit Foosh? Let's find out live on air!

7:20 — If Tim gets 40 more Instagram followers @conwayshow, then he officially hits 105,000 followers, so jump on it, Oxnard! The new trend in households is ditching the plates and silverware and just throwing food on the table. It's called the "dump dinner" and it involves wrapping the dinner table in tinfoil, dumping the pasta, meat or whatever on the table and diving right in. No dishes, no complaints, just fingers and mouths. Have at it, kids. Costco is attracting shoppers seeking dating interactions in real life, and it's a growing trend among college kids.

7:35 — Dopamine hit for the people who love to shop but don't want to spend the money: There are now fake websites, such as fakehaul.com, where you can hit purchase on things like beauty items, workout gear, jewelry and meals, but without cracking out your credit card, so whatever you order won't ever arrive. It's all for dopamine. Timmy doesn't get it.

7:50 — You know who's gotta be making a ton of money? Those DIY carwashes. When Tim was a kid, they'd charge $3 tops. And now? Timmy went the other day and it cost him $17! Netflix has laid off1,000 employees, raised its prices and its stock is down. Will new leadership placate investors and reengage viewers?

  • California Climate Credit Goes to Timmy for His Bob Saget Story
    Sep 24 2026

Hour 1 (09.23) Timmy was out in the San Fernando Valley visiting his college-kid daughter and got a fresh reminder that rush hour out there is a nightmare — which is exactly why he lives less than two miles from KFI HQ instead of Huntington Beach. Also, Prius drivers: Why are they the worst? He got his license the day he turned 16 — well, he failed that day and had to go back to the DMV the next morning. Freedom!

Tomorrow his in-studio guest is Mayor Karen Bass, who according to the polls is trailing Nithya Raman in the L.A. mayor’s race. It’s been one long, exhausting summer of breaking news — floods, a helicopter crash, a bus accident, and that Boyle Heights warehouse fire that burned for eight days and stunk up the neighborhood for two months. Time to breathe.

If you’re a Norm Macdonald fan, Judd Apatow’s documentary “The Tale of Norm Macdonald” hits Netflix on October 16. Story time: Timmy once visited a friend on the Fox lot, handed his valet ticket to a guy he thought was the attendant — and it was Bob Saget, who was not thrilled. If any Sagets are listening, Conway says he’s sorry.

Millions of California households may get an automatic credit on their electricity bills after that AC-heavy summer. And Harvey Weinstein was sentenced again, this time to 15 years — Timmy calling Hollywood hypocritical for shouting “silence is violence” after decades of rumors before justice finally came.

  • Over the Edge with Bieber in the Park as La Verne Burns
    Sep 24 2026

Hour 2 (09.23) “Wake Up Call’s” Amy King is staying up way past her 5 a.m. bedtime to talk Dodgers with Timmy — and her Friday leap off a 260-foot building for Union Rescue Mission’s Over the Edge fundraiser. Watch her go over around noon, or drop $1,000 and take the plunge yourself at urm.org/ote. Follow @AmyKayKing for a peek.

Love is in the air until the check hits the table: New Zelle research says 52% of Gen Z daters have ghosted, blocked or unfollowed someone after promising to pay them back. Going Dutch is now a disappearing act, and some are even going into debt to keep the social calendar alive.

Breaking in La Verne: a lithium-ion battery fire at the Metropolitan Water District has evacuation orders in effect. Across town, Santa Monica’s 1941 pier sign is coming down for a Vegas makeover while the bridge gets rebuilt. A nor’easter is pounding the East Coast while Hurricane Polo eyes California. Winter in SoCal could be all rain or no rain, so if you’re in a flood zone, FEMA flood insurance is on Timmy’s mind.

And yesterday in MacArthur Park, instead of the usual grim headlines, Justin Bieber popped up with three musicians for a no-stage, no-tickets surprise set. Radical.
