For the Halloween season, we dive into the classic, formative, important series. More than just a stepping stone to Part 2, this movie is worth watching if you haven't in a while.

We reach the conclusion on The Fly franchise! While the Cronenberg version remains the masterpiece, there's plenty to love in the other four films. And as we approach the Halloween season, where will we go next?

Eric Stoltz steps into the makeup chair to become- Martin McFly! Er- Martin Brundle and realizes that he is the son of the Fly. While a pretty good creature feature, this sequel doesn't quite have the emotional tug as the first one.

Gina Davis and Jeff Goldblum star in this classic Cronenberg remake. Come for goop, stay for the heartbreak as we watch the Brundlefly slowly change not only body but personality.

We round out the first trilogy in the franchise with "Curse of the Fly!" Turns out, the DeLombre teleportation ambition is (confusingly) generational! With offices in Montreal and London, Henri, Martin and Albert continue the experiments... with nary a fly to be found. But... what lurks in those stables...?

Released one year after the original, this film takes a turn for more of a straightforward rampaging monster movie. Shot on black and white and utilizing most of the same sets as the previous film, this sees Phillipe wrapped up in finishing his father's work while Vincent Price lays in bed.

Our new franchise, as voted by our Instagram followers, kicks off with the original "The Fly" from 1958! This sad tale stars Vincent Price, David Hedison and Patricia Owens and spawned four more films over the next several decades.

We wrap up all 8 "Child's Play" movies- and 1 season of the TV show! What's the best in the franchise? Do you prefer the campy or the slasher style? Have a favorite kill? It's been a great series to cover back to back, watching Don Mancini's work grow and change over the last four decades.

We will be covering season 2 and 3 of "Chucky" over on our Patreon! If you'd like to check that out, sign up here.

And check out our Instagram 6/27 to vote on which franchise we cover next!
