Suzanne is a weight loss coach, but not the standard kind. She never counts calories
and she tells her clients to eat more fat. She gives her clients in-depth knowledge of why
their body stores fat, why they have energy slumps and why they have food cravings.
Suzanne' background is in Human Chemistry – she loves knowing about how the body
works on a hormone/neurotransmitter level.
During the start of the Covid lockdowns 3 members of her household (including her)
were recovering from some kind of "fever and dry cough", they were all weak & wheezy
and also eating down to the bare basics in the kitchen after 9 weeks of isolation.
Whilst many people understandably spent that time binging on their stockpiles of booze
& pasta, Suzanne was genuinely concerned that if she hadn't already had Covid, she
was not in the best shape to go through it.
So, she started ordering organic veg boxes & reading EVERY bit of scientific research
she could find about the emerging picture of who gets sickest with Covid.
As a result she changed her eating patterns to make things gentler on her blood sugar
system, made sure she got plenty of cardio exercise, took vitamin D, probiotics, etc etc.
During her months of reading scientific research, lots of sparks went off in her brain,
linking what she was reading to what she already knew about the digestive hormones.
And how we all respond differently to the same foods due to differences in our own
digestive system.
And she realised that much of what was beneficial to surviving Covid was also the key to
healthy weight loss.
Traditional healthy eating advice from the last few decades is now being replaced by
modern scientific studies that show much of what we've been told is not quite right.
Keen to help as many people as possible to control their weight in a way that's easy,
healthy and sustainable in the long term, Suzanne she set up a free Facebook group to
teach people the basic principles, and more recently she's launched an 8-week
programme to help people to test their own reactions to foods and design their own
personalised blueprint for losing weight and preventing metabolic health problems.
