• Barry Morphew’s Murder Charge Was Dismissed in 2022. Suzanne’s Body Brought It Back.
    Oct 22 2026

Suzanne Morphew disappeared on Mother’s Day 2020. Barry Morphew was charged with her murder in 2021. The case collapsed in 2022 when the state’s own failures destroyed its ability to present the evidence. Suzanne was still missing. Seventeen months later, her remains were found fifty miles south of home — in a county that wasn’t part of the original investigation. Bone testing confirmed the wildlife tranquilizer the prosecution had theorized but couldn’t prove. This documentary tells the complete story in three parts: the marriage Suzanne was privately documenting, the digital trail from the night she vanished, the prosecution that destroyed its own case, the body that brought it back, and Barry’s arrest in Arizona under the name Lee Moore — with an AR-15 and a silencer in a safe at the home of a woman who didn’t know his real name until five days before law enforcement arrived. Trial is July 2027.

  • Barry Morphew Had Access to the Drug Found in Suzanne’s Remains
    Oct 21 2026

In September 2023, CBI agents found human remains in Saguache County, Colorado — roughly fifty miles from the Morphew home, in a county that wasn’t part of the original investigation. Suzanne Morphew had been missing for more than three years. The first murder case against Barry had been dismissed seventeen months earlier. The autopsy identified butorphanol, azaperone, and medetomidine in bone testing — three drugs that form BAM, a wildlife tranquilizer used to immobilize elk and deer. The medical examiner ruled the death a homicide. The original prosecution had suspected a tranquilizer but couldn’t prove it without a body. Now the proof was in the bones. Barry had access to BAM through his Indiana deer operation. His last prescription was filled in March 2018. He told investigators he used BAM in Colorado in April 2020, then denied it. No other private BAM purchaser in the surveyed region was identified. A renewed grand jury indictment followed in June 2025.

  • Barry Morphew’s Driveway Sensors Caught WHAT at 3 A.M.?!
    Oct 20 2026

On May 10, 2020, Suzanne Morphew’s daughters tried to reach their mother all day. A neighbor found the house locked, her SUV in the garage, her bicycle missing. Barry Morphew was near Broomfield, more than a hundred miles east, on a construction job he’d left for before dawn. Investigators pulled Barry’s phone and truck data. His truck recorded sensor activity between 3:25 and 3:51 a.m. — while Barry claimed he was sleeping. His phone powered off at 2:47 p.m. Saturday, came back at 10:17 p.m., went dark again at 4:32 a.m. Sunday. At 6:10 a.m., Barry texted: “Happy Mother’s Day. I love you.” Suzanne’s phone had been silent since 4:23 a.m. It has never been found. Barry spent less than thirty minutes at his work site across almost ten hours. He made five stops, several involving disposal. The state built a murder case. Its own procedural failures collapsed it before a jury could hear it.

  • Barry Morphew Didn’t Know What His Wife’s Hidden Pen Recorded
    Oct 19 2026

Suzanne Morphew was a cancer survivor, a mother, and a teacher. She moved from Indiana to Chaffee County, Colorado, with Barry and their two daughters in 2018. The community saw a family starting over in the mountains. The investigative record tells a different story. Suzanne had hidden a recording pen in the house because she suspected Barry of infidelity. The device didn’t capture what she was looking for — it captured her own secret relationship with Jeff Libler, an acquaintance from Indiana. On May 6, 2020, she told Barry she wanted a divorce. On May 8, she messaged her sister Melinda describing abuse. On May 9, she sent her last confirmed text at 2:11 p.m. Barry arrived at 2:43. The daughters were away. The house was empty. Every account of what happened next — that Saturday evening, overnight, before dawn — comes from the man who told investigators he found her asleep and left before sunrise.

  • Barry Morphew Offered a Driver WHAT After Hitting Her Car?!
    Sep 14 2026

Three hundred dollars and a shirt sleeve. That's what Barry Morphew allegedly used to try to make a Denver fender-bender disappear on August 26, 2026 — while wearing an ankle monitor, while facing a first-degree murder charge in his wife's death. The GPS log from that day showed stops at restaurants, stores, and Denver International Airport, none of which his release conditions covered. When the other driver said she'd call the police, he allegedly drove off over a curb. A judge who'd overseen the case for more than a year responded by tripling his bond to ten million dollars cash-only. Recorded jail calls captured him bragging he'd walk by the weekend. This is the same man who spent three years in Arizona under fake names and cast his missing wife's ballot five months after she vanished.

  • Barry Morphew Tried What Before Police Were Called?
    Sep 9 2026

Barry Morphew’s alleged Denver hit-and-run has created another court problem while he awaits trial in the death of Suzanne Morphew.

Judge Amanda Hopkins says video shows Morphew refusing to provide his name or identification after a driver reported that two vehicles were struck. The court says he indicated he didn’t have insurance and then tried to resolve the damage with a specific offer.

The driver rejected it and said police were being called. Hopkins wrote that Morphew then left, nearly struck another person, and drove over a curb.

Morphew has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder. He was already free on a $3 million bond with GPS monitoring. Hopkins ordered him confined to his home, and prosecutors want tighter restrictions because they argue the encounter shows increased flight risk.

The exact offer Barry allegedly made explains why this minor traffic encounter became a major legal headache.

  • Barry Morphew Nearly Did WHAT to the Evidence Against Him?!
    Jul 11 2026

Barry Morphew's trial for the murder of his wife Suzanne is finally approaching, with jury selection set for October 13 in Alamosa after six years, a collapsed first prosecution, and a third trial delay. Start with the remains. Suzanne's body was found in a shallow grave near Moffat, Colorado, and an autopsy identified a wildlife tranquilizer called BAM in her bone marrow, a chemical prosecutors say only one private citizen in that area had legal access to. Two weeks after Barry pleaded not guilty for the second time, he allegedly authorized releasing Suzanne's remains to a funeral home for cremation. Prosecutors caught it and intervened one day before it was scheduled to happen. Then there's where he'd been. After the original case against him fell apart and the lead prosecutor was disbarred, Barry moved more than six hundred miles to a trailer park in Cave Creek, Arizona, and lived under at least two aliases, Bruce to a bar manager and Lee to a gas station clerk. The woman he lived with didn't learn his real identity until five days before his arrest, when he gave her a version of events that doesn't match the indictment. Investigators also found an AR-15 and a silencer in his safe. He was re-indicted, extradited from Arizona, and released on three million dollars bond. This episode lays out the full timeline: the aliases, the safe, the tranquilizer, the near-cremation, and the newest delay that's pushed the case back yet again while Suzanne's siblings cancel travel plans and her family in Indiana keeps waiting. Barry has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder and remains presumed innocent under the law. Every piece of it points to the same open question the jury will have to answer. Here is the complete case against him, laid out piece by piece.

  • Barry Morphew’s Girlfriend Believed THIS About Suzanne
    Jul 9 2026

The October trial is off. Barry Morphew’s defense team told the court they aren’t ready, and Judge Amanda Hopkins granted a continuance that pushes the murder trial into 2027. The prosecution opposed the delay. Suzanne Morphew’s siblings objected in open court, with their attorney telling the judge they are tormented and need closure. They had already booked travel for the October date.

Barry Morphew waived his right to a speedy trial in January 2026 when both sides agreed to an October 13 start. The defense promised they would be ready. Five weeks before the continuance hearing, the same defense team filed thirty-one pretrial motions in a single batch — a coordinated legal strategy that required deep familiarity with the case file. Then they told the judge they didn’t have a sufficient grasp of the discovery to question witnesses.

Before his re-arrest in June 2025, Barry was living in Cave Creek, Arizona, under the name Lee Moore. The woman he’d been with since late 2024 had no idea he was Barry Morphew. He told her Suzanne had been “abducted” in Colorado. Police found an AR-15 and a silencer in his safe when they searched the home after the arrest. Tony Brueski examines the delay, the defense’s argument, and what Barry’s choices between the dropped charges and the re-indictment reveal about the man asking the court for more time.

Barry Morphew has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder.
