The Washington Commanders took Sonny Styles with the No. 7 overall pick of the 2026 NFL draft.

His older brother, Lorenzo Styles Jr., was taken in the fifth round by the New Orleans Saints. Dad Lorenzo, former Ohio State star linebacker and Super Bowl champion, along with mom Laverna, were in the wings in Pittsburgh.

They have provided the impetus, guidance and support for the Styles phenomenon for two decades.

Lorenzo Sr., now an assistant coach for Eddie George at Bowling Green, joined Clay and Tim to speak on it all.

Carnell Tate became the surprise first NFL Draft pick from Ohio State when the Jets passed on Arvell Reese, but the Giants did not, and by NFL draft pick 11, which was the Cowboys trading up to wrangle safety Caleb Downs, four Buckeyes had gone, including Sonny Styles to the Commanders. Dillon Davis and Tim chop that up. Plus Ryan Day speaks on the great night for his Buckeyes, but then he talks about the growing reach of the Nina and Ryan Day Foundation, focused on mental health issues and help for young people. The cause is so righteous.

Ohio State expects to see four players taken in the top half of the first round of the 2026 NFL draft, possibly in the top 10. And after LB Arvell Reese, LB Sonny Styles, S Caleb Downs and WR Carnell Tate, DT Kayden McDonald has a chance to be a first-rounder, too.

MMQB Albert Breer joins Tim to talk about all that and who might be next to go from OSU.

Then there is a conversation with former OSU and NFL star center LeCharles Bentley, who was named one of Ohio's finest at the OSU football coaches clinic last week, who talks about several things, including how life changes abruptly for a player once he's in the NFL. Ohio State has been pegged by some oddsmaking services as the favorite to win the 2026 national championship ... on, uh, Jan. 25, 2027. Is that legit? Former OSU All-America and national title-winning/Super Bowl-winning linebacker Matt Wilhelm offers his assessment after studying the Buckeyes through the spring, which for the first time included his son Mason being on that practice and playing field. Plus we hear post spring game from Ryan Day, Julian Sayin and Kenyatta Jackson. Set. Hutt!!

Super Bowl-winning coach Jon Gruden wears his passion for the game like a Technicolor trench coat.

Though he is quite funny at times, he's also serious as an IRS audit in the desire to see football coached and played at a high level.

Interim CBJ coach Rick Bowness held nothing back in his post-game assessment of the Blue Jackets' efforts over the past month, which saw them fall short of making the NHL playoffs, plus leaving a sour taste with their loyal fans with the way they schlepped through the season finale loss to the Capitals.
