In this episode of The Testimony, we sit down with Coach Tevin Orr to hear the story behind the mentor, leader, & coach making a real impact on the next generation.
Tevin starts by reflecting on his childhood. What it was like growing up with his mom as a single mother, with support from his stepdad, & being shaped by the environment around him. From time spent at his grandad’s nightclub, Vollie’s, to countless hours at OPAR, the city community center that gave kids a place to play sports & belong, Tevin’s love for the community ran deep.
His journey takes us through college at ANC, then transferring to UALR, where life began to point him toward something bigger. What started as simply stepping in to help teach a special needs class became a turning point. It's where Tevin discovered his true purpose in coaching && mentoring.
From there, he fell in love with coaching, dedicating his life to pouring into young men, not just as athletes, but as people. That passion led him back to his hometown school Osceola High School. Where him & an amazing coaching staff helped lead the team to TWO state championships! Building a culture of discipline, faith, & brotherhood along the way.
In the middle of it all, Tevin also launched his own clothing brand, "Not Orrdinary Clothing", a reflection of his mindset & mission to remind people they were made for more.
We close the episode with the same question we ask every guest:
“Do you believe God made an impact on your life?”
And through Tevin’s story, you can clearly see the work God has been doing all along.
This past week he Graduated with his Masters from the University of Arkansas at Monticello! Congrats Coach Orr!
This is a testimony about community, calling, mentorship, && living with purpose.
You definitely don’t want to miss it. 🎙️
