When I was a boy growing up in 1960s Los Angeles, some of my greatest adventures began with an ordinary Saturday outing with Dad and my little sister, Lee Ann.

Through my young eyes, familiar places became mysterious foreign lands, crowded with exotic sights, strange aromas, and fascinating characters. My imagination carried me far beyond the streets of Los Angeles, where adventure seemed to wait around every corner.

Join me as I return to that version of Los Angeles, where an ordinary boy with a wild imagination could journey to the farthest reaches of the known world and still be home in time for lunch.
