Life Lessons and Turkey

It is amazing the lessons Gen X learned from watching Saturday morning cartoons, building treehouse forts, and riding bikes. Those lessons are lost to the next generations, so it will up to parents to find other ways to teach those same lessons.

The US military is asking for more money after draining our oil reserves, sacrificing our men and women, and pushing up the price on everything the citizens buy. While they are doing that, the country of Turkey is making a lot of good decisions to entice foreign immigration, money and investment. We cover what they are offering for income tax, inheritance tax, and other incentives. We compare it to what the US is currently doing, and, while we are spoiled here, it looks like Turkey is really working to improve things in their country. It has been said that if you want less of something, tax it, and if you want more of something, incentivize it. Perhaps more governments should be looking at what they are doing. In the meantime, citizens need to be watching what is going on and making decisions that will put them and their family in a better financial situation. The Path You Take

Did you choose to go to college? Did you prepare for retirement? Today we talk about different paths that people have chosen. Many people have started down a road even though they aren't sure if it will get them to where they want to go. They might do it for the "experience" of being on that road.
