About the guest: Julie Hall holds a Bachelor's of Science in Economics from New York University, a Master's in Business Administration from Rutgers University and a Master's of Science in Marriage and Therapy from Seattle Pacific University. She also completed her certification in Trauma Informed Clinical Practice from NYU's Silver School of Social Work in December 2022. Prior to pursuing her career in therapy, she enjoyed over ten years working in fast paced technology sectors including nonprofit, government, start up and established consumer facing companies. Before entering into private practice, Julie worked for the Greenwich Center for Hope & the Seattle Pacific University Counseling Center working with students, parents, couples, and families around many issues including anxiety, depression, disordered eating, and trauma. In addition, she has walked many engaged and committed couples through premarital counseling as a Certified Prepare and Enrich Instructor. Julie is experienced in mindfulness training and is trained in the treatment of trauma. In part due to her own life experiences, she also has a deep desire to walk alongside women and couples who are experiencing fertility challenges and has provided clinical support and facilitation for the Pacific Northwest Mind/Body Fertility Program in Seattle. Julie is also experienced in facilitating various support groups for sexual abuse recovery and coping with divorce grief. In addition, she has training in racial trauma and healing. Julie is trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, all of which are tools she uses in her work with families, couples and individuals to support them in their journey toward healing and wholeness. Julie also recently completed "the Inclusive Therapist Learning Series: Tending to Racial Trauma in Crisis" and is committed to doing the work as a clinician and person of color to hold and tend to stories of racial trauma with mindfulness and care. Julie is licensed in the states of Connecticut and New York as an LMFT and has lived in New Jersey, New York, San Francisco, Seattle and now makes her home with her family including two rescue pups in Greenwich, CT. ✨ New to the podcast?
