Still recounting his adventures to King Alcinous and the Phaeacian nobles, Odysseus describes a journey that grows ever stranger and more dangerous. A gift of winds turns to disaster, cannibal giants destroy most of his fleet, and the sorceress Circe transforms his men into pigs.
