  • Listener voicemail! "Have you noticed this thing happening with women??"
    Jun 24 2026

It's kismet that one of our listeners called in this week asking about the very thing that's been on so many of our minds lately: we're calling it The Great Awakening

There's this interesting and exciting phenomenon happening with women everywhere.

We are tired of following the rules that society told us to, so we're writing our own. We're tapping out and building the life that works for us. We're literally doing things like moving to the middle of nowhere Joshua Tree and building our dream home from the ground, up.

ENOUGH ALREADY with this broken system. We must create our own.

Come with us as we talk big life pivots, trusting our own intuition above all else 💫, and supporting each other through the Messy Middle.

You don't have to go this alone. We're here for you

  • Tyler Brickley & The Kindness Mob: How this TikTok community is changing lives
    Jun 17 2026

Pretty sure we have the universe to thank for connecting us to Tyler Brickley.

His whole mission is spreading kindness, and it gives us all the feels ⤵️

Tyler started the Kindness Mob on New Year's Day 2023, driven by a simple yet powerful question: What if the first comments on a video were kind instead of cruel? Frustrated by the ease with which negativity accumulated in comment sections, Tyler realized that the internet could be a more supportive space. His small initiative quickly gained traction, leading to an incredible community of close to 400,000 members who actively leave kind comments on nominated videos.

Imagine if the first 10 comments on a video were all kind instead of cruel. That's the vision behind this initiative. It started as a simple idea: counteract negativity with positivity and support.

The impact? An average of 750 kind comments per recipient, many of whom never realize the kindness mob is behind it.

As a bonus, kindness is good for your health, so start taking (and giving) a dose today!

  • Joanna Fajardo: I was in a high-control religious group
    Jun 3 2026

Annnnnd we're back!! Did you miss us?

This week in TNR, buckle up for a wild life story from our guest, Joanna Fajardo. Joanna grew up very religious. Once she got a bit older, certain things she witnessed started to making her question everything she knew. She had a realization that she was in what she calls a "high-control group", often referred to as ... a cult. She exited years ago, and that came with major life-altering changes she openly explains in detail. To leave meant to lose touch with her whole family, but it also meant being true to herself. She was finally able to embrace her queerness -- her favorite thing about herself.

Joanna offers several key takeaways for those looking to navigate life after leaving a high-control group:

    - Embrace Your Authenticity: Finding and embracing your true self is paramount. Joanna encourages individuals to explore their identities outside the confines of their upbringing.

    - Seek Support: Connecting with others who have had similar experiences can be invaluable. Joanna found solace in sharing her story with others who understood what she went through.

    - Challenge Fear: Recognizing that fear is often a tool used by high-control groups can help individuals reclaim their power. Joanna urges those in similar situations to question the narratives they've been taught.

  • Kelly's mom's in TNR! Reflections and celebrations: motherhood + being a daughter
    May 6 2026

TNR’s #1 MVP and supporter, Kelly’s mom, Brenda Lawson, joins Kelly + JL to celebrate the holiest of all the Hallmark holidays, Mother’s Day. Tune in for reflections on motherhood and being a daughter. Being a mom is the most wonderful (and scariest and frustrating and incredible, on and on — all the emotions) experience any woman can have. There’s no relationship like that of the one between a mother and daughter. Kelly and her mom dive into some childhood memories, and Brenda remembers her mom and how great of a listener she was. JL emphasizes how her mom, “Hot Donna”, has always led with kindness and how she taught JL the value of good, hard work. This episode is just wholesome af and has all the feels. Drop in and give your nervous system the break that it needs 🧡
