• Master Your Breath, Master Your Life with Tabetha DeBruyn
    May 19 2026

Your body has been keeping score and your breath is one of the fastest ways to change the signal. Lizzy sits down with Tabetha DeBruyn, a transformational breathmaster and one of the few certified 9D somatic breathwork practitioners in the world, to unpack why “just take a deep breath” is not fluff when you know how to do it with intention and timing. If you’ve been living in stress mode, cycling through anxiety, insomnia, or burnout, this is a grounded place to start.

We talk through what’s actually happening in the nervous system during somatic breathwork, including why nasal breathing matters, how a longer exhale supports vagus nerve regulation, and why feeling safe in your body can bring your mind back online. Tabetha shares how regulation can shift you out of reaction and into a calmer, clearer state where decisions, boundaries, and relationships start to change without forcing it.

Then we go deeper into what makes 9D breathwork different: immersive soundscapes, music, binaural beats, and hypnotic-style repetition designed to help quiet rumination and support subconscious reprogramming. We also name the real ways people numb out today, from doom scrolling and Netflix binging to substances and other loops, and how breathwork can help release guilt and shame so you can choose differently. We close with surrender, spiritual connection (without getting stuck in religious fear), and what “coming home to yourself” can look like in everyday life.

Subscribe for more conversations on holistic living and nervous system healing, share this with a friend who’s been running on empty, and leave a review with the biggest shift you’re taking from this conversation.

  • Embracing Paradox with Prashanthi Amarnath
    Apr 28 2026

Clarity can feel like safety, but what if the constant demand for answers is the very thing keeping you stuck? Lizzy sits down with writer Prashanthi Amarnath, author of Embracing Paradox, to talk about Taoism, uncertainty, and the lived reality of becoming someone new while you are still carrying pieces of who you used to be. If you have been moving through change, stress, or a season that feels unresolved, this conversation offers a calmer way to relate to it without denying what is real.

Prashanthi shares her spiritual journey, including devotion, doubt, and the surprising relief of realizing that wandering is not a mistake. We dig into what “paradox” actually looks like in daily life: loving someone while feeling frustrated, growing while feeling behind, and wanting a vision for your future while still practicing mindfulness and presence. Through Taoist stories and metaphors, we explore Wu Wei as non-forcing, how patience can reveal what pressure cannot, and why alignment often looks effortless from the outside.

We also get practical about ambition and modern life. Prashanthi reframes integration as the goal, not endless self-editing, and explains how emotional regulation helps you pursue goals without being controlled by fear, shame, or the need to prove your spirituality. We close with a tool you can use immediately when you feel triggered and a powerful reminder to check what “glasses” you are wearing when you look at others, choosing love as vision without abandoning truth or boundaries.

If this helped you breathe a little deeper, subscribe, share it with a friend who is in a transition, and leave a review so more listeners can find ModernZen Collective. What paradox are you learning to hold right now?

  • Stabilizing Your Expansion: A Grounding Practice for Nervous System Support & Embodiment
    Apr 24 2026

Ever had a season where everything looks fine on paper, but inside you feel stretched, wobbly, and weirdly disconnected from your own life? We’ve been there, and we wanted to share a simple practice we actually use when we need to slow down, reset, and feel steady again.

Lizzy guides you through a calming grounding meditation built around breathwork, body awareness, and gentle nervous system support. You’ll settle into a comfortable position, soften the places that hold stress, and breathe through the heart center and belly to release pressure you may not even realize you’re carrying. From there, we move into a grounding visualization that helps you feel held by the earth, supported by gravity, and anchored in the present moment.

Then we shift to what can feel hardest during growth: staying present when life is expansive. Instead of pushing for answers or rushing the next step, we practice breathing with change and letting it unfold. If you’re craving more alignment, mindfulness, and a grounded path toward a joyful life, this is a short listen with a lasting effect.

If this practice helps, subscribe, share it with a friend who needs steadiness, and leave us a review so more people can find the ModernZen Collective Podcast.

  • When Time Slows Down: Current Energetics Update
    Apr 21 2026

Time has been feeling warped for a lot of us, like the day disappears before we even get our footing. Nikki sits with that shared sensation and then follow a surprising real-life clue: a 45-minute yoga class that suddenly feels spacious, slow, and complete, with enough room for longer holds and the kind of shavasana we usually have to rush. That moment kicks off an intuitive exploration of what “time expansion” can feel like in the body, in the mind, and in the rhythm of everyday life.

From there, she talks about the simple “one Mississippi” test people use to check whether a minute still feels like a minute and what it means when your count comes up short or lands perfectly on 60. Nikki also connects the shift to energetic themes floating around the Schumann resonance (Earth’s “heartbeat”), including the idea of a reset that nudges the collective into calmer, clearer bandwidth. You can take this spiritually, psychologically, or both, but the practical question stays the same: are we rushing through life, or are we finally getting space to breathe again?

The bigger takeaway is about spiritual alignment through authenticity. She shares why she sees authenticity as the highest vibration, how it ties into purpose, work, and the choices we stop tolerating, and why collective healing could change the way we experience everything from technology to community. Nikki also touches on Uranus in Gemini and why repeating history is not guaranteed when consciousness evolves.

Listen, try the Mississippi experiment for yourself, and then share what you notice. If this resonates, subscribe, leave a review, and send this to a friend who keeps saying “Where did the day go?”

  • What If Your Menstrual Cycle Is Your Best Health Data with Kirsten Karchmer, Founder & CEO of Conceivable
    Apr 17 2026

Fertility can feel like a never ending math problem you did not sign up for, and the loudest advice usually comes with a monthly subscription. We wanted something calmer and more useful, so we brought on Kirsten Karchmer, founder of Conceivable and one of North America’s leading fertility experts, to talk about what actually moves the needle when you’re trying to get pregnant and stay pregnant.

We get into the “magic formula” she sees after helping more than 10,000 women conceive, and it’s refreshingly simple: build a cycle that shows your body is resourced, regulated, and ready. That means paying attention to energy (without caffeine or adrenaline masking fatigue), aiming for a steady 28 to 32 day menstrual cycle, and noticing whether PMS, sleep changes, anxiety, acne, spotting, clotting, or cramping are waving a red flag. Kirsten explains why the menstrual cycle is one of the most powerful women’s health tools we have and why so many of us were never taught to use it.

Then we go practical with basal body temperature tracking, how to take it without overcomplicating your mornings, and what temperature patterns can suggest about inflammation, cervical fluid, progesterone support, and the luteal phase. We also talk stress and the nervous system, why the fertility journey can create grief and even PTSD, and simple tools like breathwork, yoga, visualization, and tapping.

Finally, Kirsten breaks down her no panic approach to timing sex, including the days 11 to 17 strategy that helps you cover the fertile window without living inside ovulation trackers.

If this helped you, subscribe, share this with a friend on a fertility journey, and leave a review with the one cycle marker you’re focusing on next.

  • April 2026 Arcturian Channeling: Mother Gaia Is Integrating So You Can Too
    Apr 14 2026

Spring shows up on the calendar, but the air still bites and your energy still feels like winter. Instead of treating that as a problem to push through, we slow down and ask a different question: what if the “delay” is support and what if nature is modeling exactly what our bodies and minds need right now? Nikki shares a channeled Arcturian message that frames Mother Gaia as moving through an integration phase, restoring balance after years of collective intensity, and inviting us to stop rushing toward the next thing.

We explore spiritual alignment through the simplest mirror we have: the seasons. Hibernation, longer nights, and the slow turn toward warmth become a lesson in holistic living, mindfulness, and nervous system care. If you’ve felt frayed, overstimulated, or pressured to keep up, this conversation offers a grounded way to release what isn’t lighting you up, create spaciousness in your calendar, and choose self-care without guilt. Rest becomes an active practice, not a reward.

We also look ahead to the natural momentum of summer, when sunlight energy can support manifestation, clarity, and forward movement. The intention isn’t to force outcomes now, but to honor the pace of integration so you can “catapult forward” later with steadier energy and cleaner focus. If you’re craving peace, gratitude, and a more sustainable path to personal growth, press play and walk in lockstep with nature.

Subscribe, share this with a friend who needs permission to rest, and leave a review telling us: what are you choosing to slow down for?

  • Kalm with Kava with Morgan Smith
    Mar 24 2026

The scariest part of burnout is how “normal” it can start to feel, until one day it doesn’t. Morgan Smith, CEO of Kalm with Kava, shares the moment he took a prescribed benzodiazepine for anxiety and lost the rest of the day, a wake-up call that sent him searching for calmer, safer ways to regulate his nervous system.

We go deep on kava, a 3,000-year South Pacific plant tradition that most people only see as a passing wellness trend. Morgan breaks down what kava is, how traditional kava tea is prepared, what kavalactones do in the body, and why a numb tongue can be part of the experience. We also compare kava with alcohol, cannabis, and CBD, including why many people like it as an alcohol alternative that supports relaxation without the same “next day” cost.

From there, we zoom out into the bigger why: modern nervous system dysregulation. We talk capitalism, pressure to produce, and the way food and housing insecurity keep so many of us on edge. Morgan shares stories from Vanuatu, Fiji, Tonga, and Hawaii that highlight a relationship-first way of life, plus why ethical kava sourcing matters when a crop takes years to grow and shortages can ripple for seasons.

You’ll also hear simple beginner tips, how to build a nightly kava ritual that feels meditative, and why third-party lab tested kava should be non-negotiable. If you enjoy grounded holistic living, nervous system regulation, and transparent wellness education, hit play, subscribe, and share this with a friend who needs a softer landing, then leave a review and tell us what your wind-down ritual looks like.

  • Practice: Light & Shadow Guided Integration Meditation
    Mar 20 2026

Balance can feel like a myth when you’re tired, stretched thin, or quietly grieving an old version of yourself. We slow everything down with an equinox meditation practice designed to help you release what you’ve outgrown, receive what you’re ready for, and reconnect with the divinity within and all around you.

We start with a gentle settling: relaxing the face, shoulders, belly, hands, legs, and feet, then moving into equal breath breathing (inhale for four, exhale for four). This simple rhythm is a powerful mindfulness tool for nervous system regulation, grounding, and mental clarity, especially when your mind wants to sprint ahead. Instead of forcing “good vibes,” we explore what real balance feels like when it’s not rigid or performative.

From there, we move into soft shadow work. You’ll bring to mind a role, belief, or identity you’re ready to release and meet whatever comes up with one line that changes everything: “thank you for carrying me this far.” Then you’ll sense what’s emerging next, confidence, clarity, calm, boundaries, and let the light gently meet the shadow. We close with mantras you can return to anytime: I honor what is ending. I welcome what is emerging. I trust the balance within me.

If you’ve been craving a guided meditation for balance, an equinox reset, or a ModernZen approach to holistic living, press play and practice with us. Subscribe, share this with a friend who needs a calmer exhale, and leave a review with what you noticed shift in your body or mood.
