  • Icewear Vezzo on Leaving the Streets, Fatherhood & Why He Doesn’t Live His Raps Anymore
    Sep 28 2026

Icewear Vezzo joins The Jay Hill Podcast for a revealing conversation about leaving the streets behind, fatherhood, marriage, money, Detroit, business, generational wealth and why he can proudly say today, **“I don’t live my raps.”**

Vezzo has built the career, made the money and created businesses, but his definition of success is changing. Today, he says the next level isn't simply making more money. It's having enough freedom to spend more time with his wife, children and himself.

That evolution also changed the way he views his past.

Vezzo explains that the experiences in his music are real, but they don't represent the life he's currently living. After losing his cousin shortly before he was supposed to return home from federal prison and later becoming a father, Vezzo began realizing he had too much to lose to continue living by the same rules that once helped him survive.

He also opens up about learning to make music sober, trying to clean up his image after signing with Motown, and eventually realizing that growth didn't require him to erase his past.

**“You gotta find your place within yourself before you find your place in this world.”**

The conversation expands into why successful rappers continue returning to dangerous environments, retaliation when you have something to lose, Black unity and accountability, Detroit's hip-hop history, Big Sean, Eminem, Blade Icewood and the independent culture that helped shape the city's sound.

Vezzo also gets transparent about the business behind his success, including major-label advances, taxes, owning businesses for the wrong reasons, managing millions of dollars and why making money and understanding money are two completely different skills.

    Then the conversation gets personal.

Vezzo discusses growing up alongside his wife, whether he ever felt undeserving of her love, why young men shouldn't force relationships, fatherhood and why the success he's chasing today looks very different from the success he wanted when he was younger.

    • Why Vezzo says he doesn't live his raps anymore

    • Money versus having control of your time

  • My Time Coming | Rosama on BigXthaPlug’s Success, Missing XXL, Getting Fired From FedEx +More
    Sep 22 2026

Rosama joins The Jay Hill Podcast for an honest conversation about his journey from Paris, Texas to 600 Ent, coming up alongside BigXthaPlug, working at FedEx while his music was doing millions of views, fatherhood, personal growth, and why he believes his biggest moment is still ahead of him.

Long before the success, Rosama was making music.

He started rapping at nine years old, recorded inside a studio in his closet, played football, and eventually connected with BigXthaPlug in high school before the two discovered they were actually cousins. As their music began gaining traction, Rosama watched BigX get the spotlight first while continuing to build his own career.

    His perspective on that journey?

“He just got the spotlight before I did.”

Rosama opens up about their early records, the rise of 600 Ent, and what it was like watching someone he came up with reach another level before him. He also addresses conversations surrounding his absence from the XXL Freshman cover and why he refuses to measure his journey against somebody else's timeline.

  • Bay Swag Talks Industry Trying to Divide Him & Cash Cobain, Going Independent, “Fisherrr” +More
    Sep 14 2026

Bay opens up about becoming more serious about music after his father was incarcerated, making pain music, building momentum in New York, working with artists like Lil Durk, G Herbo and Rich The Kid, and repeatedly getting close to his breakthrough without completely getting over the hump.

Eventually, that momentum led to a deal with Interscope Records around 2018. But what Bay thought would take his career to another level instead became another setback when the A&R who believed in him left the company shortly after he signed.

Bay says budgets stopped moving, communication changed, and his ability to release music slowed down.

Years and multiple situations later, Bay finally became independent.

Then came the timing that changed everything:
