    Jan 19 2026

The GlioBabes, a podcast created by two young women who were both diagnosed with brain tumours at a young age. Mel and Mol are creating a safe space to talk about their experiences and to raise awareness of brain tumours and ill health within the young population.

We both met on The Brain Tumour Charity’s Young Ambassador (YAM) Programme which began in 2024, and now it’s time for the next round of YAMs to take centre stage! So we’ve got Owen and Emma, two of our fellow YAMs, as well as Abi - the Senior Involvement Officer from The Charity - who leads the programme.

We talk about highlights, lessons, memories, and support for those wanting to apply.

APPLY TO BE A YOUNG AMBASSADOR by February 9th! www.thebraintumourcharity.org/about-us/who-we-are/our-young-ambassadors/

  • The GlioBabes LIVE | Meet Me in the Digital Twin
    Jan 5 2026

    THE FIRST GLIOBABES LIVE SPECIAL!

The GlioBabes, a podcast created by two young women who were both diagnosed with brain tumours at a young age. Mel and Mol are creating a safe space to talk about their experiences and to raise awareness of brain tumours and ill health within the young population.

And we are LIVE! Back in November, Mel and Mol hosted a live podcast at FACT, Liverpool, with artist Nina Davies, and Mel’s fellow collaborators Eve and Luke, discussing the project MEET ME IN THE DIGITAL TWIN!

Find out more about the project: www.fact.co.uk/event/nina-davies

Nina collaborated with Eve, Luke and Mel — three young people from the Liverpool City Region who access support from The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust — to transform their lived experiences of cancer into an immersive world that unfolds like a sci-fi documentary. The group came together to imagine a fictional podcast, film, and immersive installation, which is on view at FACT Liverpool until 22 February, with free entry Wednesday-Saturday 11:00-18:00.

MEET ME IN THE DIGITAL TWIN was commissioned by FACT Liverpool in partnership with The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust, Clatterbridge Cancer Charity, supported by Hays Travel Foundation, Marjory Boddy Charitable Trust, The Hemby Trust and Art Friends Merseyside.

  • S5. Ep. 3: No, Seriously… Did You Just Say That? The Episode We Didn’t Plan but Had to Make
    Nov 14 2025

The GlioBabes, a podcast created by two young women who were both diagnosed with brain tumours at a young age. Mel and Mol are creating a safe space to talk about their experiences and to raise awareness of brain tumours and ill health within the young population.

In this series we return to cover more topics of relevance, that you’ve requested and we think need to be spoken about. Episode 3 was originally about societal views of someone when they get sick, especially young people. But it took a turn as we reflected on some of the things people had said to us, especially when engaging with politicians and those we need the support of to make change.

This topic really got to us, but in our eyes, it needed to be said.

  • S4. Ep. 5: In Conversation with Hayley Conroy | Advice with Hayley pt.2
    Oct 3 2025

It’s a full circle moment to end Season 4!

We’re thrilled to invite back Hayley, who featured in season 4 episode 1!

A well-respected ambassador, passionate fundraiser, dedicated charity trustee, and above all, a proud mum and grandmother - joins us to share the powerful story of her granddaughter Lily’s brain tumour diagnosis.

In ep. 1 we dive into conversations about purpose after retirement, navigating grandparenting with compassion and boundaries, and Hayley’s incredible work as a campaigner and advocate.

Hayley provided some invaluable advice and spoke widely around mental health and well-being in the second half of our recording and we really wanted to release it.
