  • P Valley: Writing a Subculture Workplace Drama
    Mar 15 2024

Elijah and Colin cover the subculture workplace hour long drama, P Valley, a show about the greatest strip club of all time. This show was release in the height of the pandemic and is charging forward towards its 3rd season. Listen in as Eilijah gushes over the dialogue and Colin makes the case for this show being kinda ground breaking.

Correction: In one line Elijah attributes a piece of dialogue to Uncle Clifford when it was the character Diamond for all you super-listeners looking to see if we caught that.

    Thanks again for listening!

  • Cowboy BeBop: A Mixtape of Genres
    Mar 7 2024

Colin’s first anime he watched on purpose (the others he didn’t know were anime.) We break down the 90s animation masterpiece Cowboy Bebop. Did Elijah Convert Colin into an Otaku? He might have gotten pretty damn close. We get into its mastery of visual storytelling, and its subtle world-building, and get into a bit of a debate about whether the “dramady” is just a made-up thing. We also reflect on the mash-up of genres that Cowboy BeBop prefect and many shows tried to copy.
