  • Field Notes #12: We Just Announced Our Newest Product
    Apr 18 2026

Big news from the shop… we just announced our newest product.

In Field Notes #12 of The Cutter Cast, Seth is joined by a special co-host—Emily—while Taylor is out of town. We kick things off with customer reviews, including a Dominator 3.0 taking on a canoe trip down the Buffalo River in Arkansas and coming out dry after a storm. We also dig into several reviews of the Dominator Locker Bag, including consistent feedback about one thing: handles (and what we’re going to do about it).

We answer a customer question about the Dominator Bedroll—can it sleep two people?—and then roll into product updates across the lineup:

    • Buffalo Plaid Foam Covers are here and in stock
    • New Dominator 2.0 Mesh + locking pole ends have arrived
    • Bedrock Pads are on the way (mid to late May)
    • Summit 3.0 is nearing the finish line with the final sample expected early May and a preorder targeted for June

And during the product updates, Seth makes a spontaneous announcement: the R.E.M. Lite Pillow—a new pillow designed to bundle perfectly with the Summit 3.0.

We wrap with upcoming content updates (Dialed sight bow builds, Jake’s turkey hunt, and the first Bedroll Baptism filming now), plus trips and what’s coming next.

Quote of the week: “Sleep under the stars when you can—ceilings are overrated.”

  • Don’t Replace It—Repair It: Father Wisdom’s Repair Shop
    Mar 23 2026

Good gear should last—and when it needs a little help, we’re not going to tell you to throw it away.

In this episode of The Cutter Cast, Seth sits down with Father Wisdom to introduce Father Wisdom’s Repair Shop—Canvas Cutter’s new repair service designed to keep your gear in the field and out of the trash.

We walk through exactly how it works: if you need a repair, you can fill out a simple form on our website under the “Father Wisdom’s Repair Shop” landing page, upload a couple photos of what needs attention, and Father Wisdom will personally assess the request. If it’s something we can fix, you’ll be able to send your gear in and have it repaired by Father Wisdom himself.

We also share a few examples of the kinds of repairs we’ve seen and why we believe repairing rugged gear is part of the Canvas Cutter mindset—buy once, use it hard, and keep it going.

Have a repair question or a story about what your Canvas Cutter gear has survived? Drop it in the comments—we’d love to hear it.
