  • Old Content Advice Is Costing You

9 Pieces of Content Advice I Stopped Giving

There are nine pieces of content advice I used to give every client, and I've stopped giving all of them. Not because they were wrong, but because everything underneath changed.

In this episode I walk through all nine, from buying pro gear to obsessing over consistency, and what I tell coaches to do instead now. Every shift falls under one of three headings: speed, scale, or engagement.

If your content feels slow and it's just not landing the way it used to, there's a good chance you're still running two or three of these old plays.

    Here's what I get into:

    • Why pro gear and year-long batching now work against you
    • Why polished, rapid-cut editing quietly kills trust
    • The move from copying outliers to saying only what you can say
    • Why AI made "shoot once, repurpose everywhere" a losing game
    • The three shifts that fix it: fast not fancy, remembered not viewed, active not automated

I'm not telling you the old advice was bad. It was right for its time. This is about what actually works now that phones shoot 4K and AI can flood every feed with a thousand versions of the same video.

So here's the takeaway. Get fast instead of fancy, get remembered instead of viewed, and stay active instead of automated. If you want the full walkthrough of how it all fits together, that training is here: https://youtu.be/F3cHaH_H2w4

  • You Are Not A Coach. You’re A Content Creator
    Oct 11 2026

A coach making $7 million a year looked at me and said "you're not a coach, you're a content creator." It reorganized how I think about this whole business.

In this episode I break down what the coaches making millions do differently with content, and the one shift behind all of it: stop shooting first and repurposing later, start with the idea and build each piece for where it's actually going. I learned it watching my friend and mentor Taki Moore go from handing off his content to driving it himself.

If you're a coach who's efficient with content but stuck in the passenger seat while your growth crawls, this is the shift that puts you back behind the wheel.

    Here's what I get into:

    • Why the old "shoot once, repurpose everywhere" model quietly stalls your growth
    • The four things that break when you chop a long recording into shorts
    • Why efficient content can still leave you invisible
    • What AI should do for your content, and the one thing it can never replace
    • The philosophy that keeps it all from burning you out: do only what only you can do

I'm not telling you to work harder or post more. The opposite. This is about being the one driving your content instead of watching a team hand it back to you, so people actually feel something when they watch.

So here's the takeaway. The coaches making millions treat creating content as the one thing that never gets delegated. If you want help building a system that gets your content out without doing it all yourself, I made a training on exactly that: https://youtu.be/F3cHaH_H2w4

  • Six Videos in Thirty Minutes
    Oct 7 2026

Daily content does not require daily work, and that one wrong assumption is why most coaches burn out or never start.

In this episode I break down how to shoot six short-form videos in 30 minutes, which is a full week of content in one weekly session. I ran the experiment on myself, then handed the exact tools to a room of 35 coaches to see if ordinary business owners could pull it off. Most of them nailed it in five minutes flat.

If you're a coach who wants to post every day but can't stomach the idea of working on content every day, this is the workflow that fixes it.

    Here's what I get into:

    • Why daily content should be one 30-minute session, not daily work
    • The CHIEFS framework for framing a shot that looks right every time
    • The goldfish method for delivering your lines with zero memorizing
    • Why your real bottleneck is decisions, not talent or gear
    • The shift from fancy to fast that gets content out the door

I'm not telling you to lower your standards. The opposite. This is about killing the friction and the on-the-fly decisions that quietly turn a five-minute video into a two-hour ordeal.

So here's the one thing to remember. Content doesn't take hours, making decisions on the fly takes hours. Remove them ahead of time and a week of content fits in 30 minutes. If you want the free handoff template I use so nothing gets stuck in revision hell, the link's below. And if you want the full system for turning that content into clients, I made a training here: https://youtu.be/F3cHaH_H2w4

  • Moneyball Changed How I Think About Content
    Sep 29 2026

Moneyball changed how I think about content, and it fixed the exact trap I was stuck in for years.

In this episode I break down why chasing one viral hit keeps most coaches invisible, and the Moneyball approach that beats it: stop swinging for a perfect 10 and stack a bunch of solid sixes and sevens instead. When I stopped obsessing over quality and tripled my output, my views held steady and my chances to build trust tripled with them.

If you're a coach whose videos aren't going viral and you've decided that's the problem, this reframe will change what you actually chase.

    Here's what I get into:

    • Why one viral hit loses to a steady stack of good-enough videos
    • The production trap that makes every video take three times too long
    • Why posting more often doesn't get you punished by the algorithm
    • The choice between being famous and being familiar
    • Why you should count swings, not views

I'm not telling you to pump out garbage. The opposite. This is about getting your content from a one or a two up to a solid six or seven, then swinging often enough that the right people find you.

So here's the one thing to remember. Stop counting views, start counting swings, because every swing reaches someone new and makes you a little better. If you want those swings to actually lead somewhere, I made a free training on turning your best framework into a $30,000 coaching program without ads, and that's your next swing: https://youtu.be/F3cHaH_H2w4

  • Post It Ugly
    Sep 20 2026

You know exactly what to say. You know how to record it. The video is shot, edited, and sitting in your Google Drive right now, and you still haven't posted it. That's the exposure gap, and the fix is two words: post it ugly.

In this episode I break down why your finished videos die of old age in a folder, why perfectionism is almost always fear wearing a nicer outfit, and the one rule that gets your content into the world. This is the final part of the series, and it's the one that actually makes you hit publish.

If you're a coach who keeps telling yourself the hook needs work or the brand isn't ready, this is the permission and the system to press post.

    Here's what I get into:

    • Why "I want it more professional" is usually code for I'm scared to be seen
    • The five fears hiding inside the exposure gap
    • Why you build confidence by surviving the post, not by planning it
    • The 100-view rule that lowers the risk of hitting publish
    • The four-point checklist for post it ugly versus post garbage

I'm not telling you to throw slop at your audience. The opposite. This is about knowing the difference between an imperfect video worth posting and a lazy one that isn't, then shipping the first kind every single week.

So here's the takeaway. A beautifully edited video sitting in your Google Drive is worthless. Post it ugly, get real feedback, and get better in public. Get the Gear List here: https://vmm-f52bja3.gamma.site/talking-head

Watch the full training for turning content into clients: https://youtu.be/F3cHaH_H2w4

    Here’s why your content dies.

It’s not that you don't know what to say. It's the giant gap between having the idea and actually getting it posted.

In this episode I break down the production gap, the pile of tiny tasks that quietly turns a coach into their own unpaid intern, and the system I use to cross it in 30 to 60 minutes a week. The one rule running through all of it: do only what only you can do.

If you're a coach who knows exactly what to say but still can't seem to get the video shot, edited, and out the door, this is the fix.

    Here's what I get into:

    • My exact gear list, the simple phone setup I actually use (grab it free below)
    • The CHIEFS framework for framing a shot that doesn't look like a Zoom call
    • The goldfish method for nailing your lines with no memory and no teleprompter
    • The one-line-one-cut trick that makes a phone video feel edited
    • Why real delegation means handing off the task and the anxiety with it

I'm not telling you to get better at editing, captions, and file management. The opposite. This is about spending your time only on the thinking, the stories, and the recording, then letting the machine do the rest.

So here's the one thing to walk away with. Do only what only you can do, and build the system that gets your best ideas published without swallowing your whole week.

  • Your Content Should Weaken Your Pitch
    Sep 6 2026

    Watch this on Youtube: https://youtu.be/uCquIf6EXLM

Good content doesn't make your sales pitch stronger. It makes the pitch completely unnecessary.

In this episode I break down why the cringe you feel the moment your content turns into a sales pitch is your integrity telling you the whole approach is wrong, and the six-part system I teach my clients to fix it. The twist is that this episode runs that exact system on you while you listen, so you'll feel it work in real time.

If you're a coach, service professional, or agency owner who hates that jarring moment when a normal conversation flips into an infomercial, this is the reframe that makes hard selling obsolete.

    Here's what I get into:

    • Why selling is about removing resistance, not adding pressure
    • The tower of resistance every prospect builds before they buy
    • The six P's and the exact objection each one removes
    • How to use proof without it turning into bragging
    • Why the right call to action is a gentle nudge, not a Truman Show moment

This isn't another high-pressure closing script. It's the opposite, and that's the whole point. By the end, the pitch doesn't feel like a pitch, because there's nothing left to push against.

So here's the question to sit with. What if your content's job was never to set up the pitch, but to make it unnecessary? If you want to see how this builds into a full client-getting system, I made a free training that walks through signing $12,000 to $30,000 clients without ads or hard pitching. The link's in the show notes.

  • Why Coaches Stay Stuck at $27
    Sep 1 2026

    Watch the episode here: https://youtu.be/b9VyG-d5HHs

I've signed coaching clients at $12,000 to $30,000 without running a single ad or pushing anyone through a giant funnel. The shift that made it possible is something I first understood in a ten-seat sushi bar.

In this episode I break down why most coaches stay stuck selling $27 courses, and the counterintuitive move that lets you charge premium prices for your coaching. It comes down to one idea that feels wrong until you see it everywhere, from an 85-year-old sushi master in Tokyo to the biggest names in online coaching.

If you're a coach, consultant, or expert who knows your stuff but can't seem to get paid what it's worth, this is the reframe that changes how you package everything.

    Here's what I get into:

    • Why 99% as good as Jiro doesn't get you 99% of his price
    • The $7,000 ticket I was sure would flop
    • The $100,000 lesson I learned as the customer
    • How Hormozi gives it away and gets richer
    • Why your intellectual property is worthless

This isn't about gating your best ideas behind another paywall. It's the opposite, and that's exactly why it works. I'll show you why giving away your mastery attracts the clients who want your access, not just your answers.

So here's the challenge. Take your single most valuable framework and ask what would happen if you gave it away. If you want help turning that framework into a high-ticket coaching offer, I made a comprehensive training that walks through the whole thing without a dollar of ad spend.
