Tonight's the night. After years of deliberation and false starts, Eric and Daniel begin their journey to try to find out what killed Showtime's Dexter. In this pilot episode, they rename Angel Batista, praise the first episode, criticize the show as a whole, and gush over the magnetic screen presence of Erik King as James Doakes. Maybe next week they'll even remember to do a recap of the episode!

Dexter season 1 continues to impress your hosts this week as Dex goes to therapy and has some daddy issues. Doakes also has a YIKES subplot which aged poorly when we recorded this episode and has only aged worse. Daniel confused episodes and seasons. Eric gives Rudy a new name and hates the sex scenes. They both can't wait to watch the next episodes!

Season 1 hits its crescendo as we find out about Dexter's mother and the Ice Truck Killer's identity is finally revealed to the main characters. Daniel has Dexter dreams. Eric is out of character names. They both love the Maria LaGuerta Memorial Bench?!? Tune in next week for their thoughts on the finale as we bring what has been an excellent season of television to a close. Sure to be the first of many great Dexter seasons...right?

Eric and Daniel's rewatch of Dexter season 1 is in the bag. Turns out, this is a pretty remarkable season that all future seasons are going to have a helluva time living up to. Daniel loves how tense every scene is. Eric loves how competent everyone at Miami Metro is. They both can't wait to watch season 2! That's the season that's all about the hunt for the Bay Harbor Butcher...isn't it?

After season 1 shattered their rewatch expectations, Eric and Daniel are back for season 2 and the famous Bay Harbor Butcher plot. They both love how much pressure Dexter is under early this season, particularly from Doakes, but they're a little weary about how some of the subplots are shaping up. Also, Eric introduces Daniel's most favorite new segment.
