The greatest marketing ideas of all time, explained in ten minutes, with one thing you can do Monday morning. Each episode takes one real business problem, pulls out the principle that actually solves it, and hands you the move. Brian Kasday and his co-host work an enduring marketing principle out of the seminar and into a business you would actually recognise. No hype, no jargon, nothing you need a whiteboard for. • Every Client Says I'm Too Expensive, Anchoring
    Oct 19 2026

A wedding photographer whose prospects keep flinching at the quote and calling him too expensive doesn't actually have a price problem, he has a first-number problem. Many buyers walk into the consultation with some kind of reference point already in their head, a friend with a camera, a midnight article, a round figure their mom named, and that number quietly becomes the reference point your quote gets judged against. This episode works through anchoring, popularized by Daniel Kahneman and Amos Tversky, and pushed into pricing research by Dan Ariely, George Loewenstein, and Drazen Prelec, the tendency for an initial number to become a reference point that can pull later judgments toward it, especially when value is ambiguous. We get into why leading with your cheapest package can create an unfavorable reference point for everything above it, why the premium tier has to be a real offer and not a decoy that eats your credibility, and where the whole thing stops working, it bends the undecided middle, but it can't conjure money that isn't there. Monday's move: reorder your pricing so the first number a prospect sees is your highest real collection, not your cheapest.

  • I'm Doing Every Channel and None Is Working, the Bullseye Framework
    Oct 12 2026

An app founder is doing a little of every marketing channel, exhausted, and nothing is moving. Brian and Dave diagnose the real problem — everything running at ten percent — and get into the Bullseye Framework popularized by Gabriel Weinberg and Justin Mares in "Traction": brainstorm all nineteen channels, test the best two or three cheaply, then focus on the one that shows traction and line up the next before it fades. They cover why founders overweight the channels they already know, why a solo operator tests sequentially, and the hard limit — no channel fixes a leaky product. Monday Move: for the next two weeks, pause every acquisition channel except the one showing the clearest real signal, and put all your effort there.

  • Half My Ad Money Is Wasted, Scientific Advertising
    Oct 5 2026

A retail owner spends real money across Facebook, radio, print, and Google, and can't say which channel brought in her last twenty customers. Brian and Dave reframe "how do I spend smarter" as "you can't see," and get into the measurement-and-testing discipline Claude Hopkins formalized in "Scientific Advertising" in 1923 — making every channel raise its hand, testing one variable at a time, setting the sample size before you start, and reason-why copy. They also cover the honest limits: testing needs volume, and it optimizes the choice in front of you, not the choice you never thought to make. Monday Move: pick your single most expensive channel and give it one way to prove itself — a unique code, a dedicated number, or a landing page only it points to.
