  • Do you dream and are they even important?
    Aug 12 2026

Welcome to Episode 9 of Somatic Compass. Stacey and Trevor explore imagination, dreams, nightmares, night terrors, and sleep paralysis from a somatic perspective. Do you dream? Are they even important? What are dreams anyway? Jump into this conversation with them as they explore how dreams give us somatic gifts, types of dreams, and even how you can dream journal and seed dreams somatically.

As always, the conversation is not about getting it right. It is an invitation to gently explore the wisdom and presence of your body, deepen your somatic literacy and become a little more curious about what your physiology may already be communicating.

  • The Problem with "Releasing Trauma"
    Jul 29 2026

Welcome to Episode 8 of Somatic Compass. Stacey and Trevor explore the phrase “releasing trauma” and how language matters. What if this phrase creates more shame and confusing? Stacey believes that language matters and when people say they want to release trauma, they usually mean relief. Relief matters. But Stacey thinks the word “release” can sometimes pull us into the wrong relationship with the very way our being and body needs our support. What if we changed the language to trauma “resolution or reorganization”? Jump into this conversation with them about the natural wisdom and physiology of our soma that is inviting us into a spiral journey of healing.

We love to hear feedback whether you agree or disagree. If you have questions or comments, please email Stacey at info@mindfulsomaticwellness.com. And if you find value from this episode please like, review, and spread the word.

  • Are we inhabited or inhibited? What's the difference and why it matters!
    Jul 3 2026

In Episode 7, Stacey and Trevor explore what it means to feel genuinely inhabited in our bodies—and what happens when we feel inhibited, disconnected or unable to fully arrive inside ourselves.

What does being alive feel like in the body?

What sensations, movements or impulses tell us that we are present?

What happens when emotion begins to move but we have learned to contain, manage or interrupt it?

And are there ways to become more embodied without turning embodiment into one more thing we have to perform perfectly?

As always, the conversation is not about getting it right. It is an invitation to gently explore the wisdom and presence of your body, deepen your somatic literacy and become a little more curious about what your physiology may already be communicating.
