  • Agape: The Love That Remains
    Aug 25 2026

What does it really mean to love like Jesus?

Agape is deeper than affection. It isn’t transactional, it doesn’t require unlimited access, and it doesn’t disappear simply because someone disappoints, hurts, betrays, or walks away from you.

In this episode of She Quietly Rises, we go deeper into what Scripture means when it says, “God is love.” We look at Jesus weeping at Lazarus’s tomb even though He knew resurrection was coming, washing the feet of Judas knowing betrayal was coming, and hanging on the cross praying, “Father, forgive them,” while He was still being wounded.

We also confront some uncomfortable questions: Can you love someone you don’t like? Can you set boundaries and still walk in agape? Do you genuinely want your enemies restored—or secretly want them to suffer? And what happens when someone leaves…but the love remains?

Maybe healing doesn’t always mean becoming indifferent. Maybe surrender doesn’t require you to stop loving. Maybe sometimes God removes the grip without removing the love.

    Because agape can say:

I love you, but I don’t own you.
I love you, but I release the outcome.
I love you, and I’m still going to live.

And when someone who hurt you is thirsty?

The question becomes: Will your wound answer—or will Jesus?

  • Love Was Never Meant to Be a Transaction
    Aug 9 2026

What if we've been defining love all wrong?

Many of us have measured love by phone calls, birthdays, holidays, attendance, and whether someone showed up the way we expected. But is that how God defines love?

In this episode of She Quietly Rises, we explore what Scripture actually teaches about biblical love. Together we'll unpack why so many people feel unloved, how unmet expectations can become the lens through which we interpret every relationship, and why Jesus never intended love to become a transaction.

We'll talk about what it means to love in deed and in truth, why healthy boundaries can be an expression of love, and how forgiveness, grace, and obedience often look very different than the world expects.

We'll also examine why no person can fill the place in our hearts that was created for Christ alone, and how allowing people to define our worth will always leave us empty.

If you've ever found yourself thinking...

"If they really loved me, they would've called."

    "They would've been there."

"They would've made me a priority."

    ...this episode is for you.

Love isn't measured by keeping score.

    It's revealed by the Cross.

Join us as we discover the freedom that comes when we stop trying to earn love and begin receiving the love that Jesus has already given.

    Scriptures Discussed:

    1 John 3:18

    1 Corinthians 13:4–8

    Matthew 5:46

    Matthew 22

    Genesis 1:27

  • When the Letter Makes You Miss Jesus
    Jul 20 2026

What if we have become so committed to defending our interpretation of Scripture that we have missed the One Scripture has always been pointing to?

In this episode of She Quietly Rises, Shantel explores the difference between knowing the letter of the Word and knowing the heart of Christ. From the Pharisees to the finished work of the cross, she unpacks why Jesus fulfilled the law, why fear-based teaching keeps believers looking at darkness instead of the Light, and what it truly means to tear down strongholds.

Together, we explore Hebrews 6, the meaning of anastauroō, “to crucify afresh,” the significance of Ethanim, “ever-flowing,” and why the finished work of Jesus is more than a doctrine. It is the place we are called to live from.

This episode also confronts teachings that make believers more conscious of demons, curses, and spiritual attacks than they are of Jesus. If a message continually exalts the enemy above the cross, leaves people fearful and suspicious, or teaches them to live as though Christ’s sacrifice was not enough, it has missed the heart of the gospel.

For the woman who is healing, breaking religious patterns, and learning to trust the heart of God again, this episode is an invitation to lay down fear, renew your mind, and become more conscious of Jesus than of the enemy.

Because sometimes quietly rising means allowing Jesus to tear down the strongholds in your own mind before you try to tear down anything around you.

Quietly rising is not only about finding your voice.

It is also about releasing the beliefs that kept you bound.

It is allowing truth to replace fear, freedom to replace bondage, and Jesus to become the center again.

The gospel is not about becoming experts on darkness.

It is about becoming witnesses to the Light.

    The cross is finished.

    Jesus is enough.

    And His life still flows.
