  • They're Smearing My Name. What do I do?
    Apr 5 2026

    Hi friend,

Did you know that when someone loses control over you, one of the first things they often try to control is the narrative? Smear campaigns are not accidental they are a tactic meant to provoke, bait, and pull you back into reaction. And that reaction is how power is maintained.

In this episode, we talk about why your first instinct may be to defend yourself, explain your side, or convince others of the truth and why wisdom calls us to do the opposite. Reactivity keeps you in a loop; restraint begins to strip manipulators of the influence they think they still have.

Through Scripture, we’re reminded that God is our defender. When David was being persecuted by Saul he entrusted himself to God. The Bible shows us that being misunderstood, opposed, or falsely represented does not mean you are wrong or abandoned. Not everyone will believe you. Some people from either side of the family may rise against you. And that does not mean you need to exhaust yourself telling your version of the story.

This episode is an invitation to step out of the mental and emotional loop. You do not owe explanations. You do not need to convince everyone. God sees, God knows, and God defends. Let that strengthen you!

  • What is a Healthy Fear of the Lord?
    Mar 29 2026

    Hey Friend,

As we begin uncovering truth, naming abuse, and confronting manipulation, there is a very real temptation to take justice into our own hands. This episode is a necessary pause, a spiritual recalibration before moving forward.

In Proverbs 1:7 we are told that “the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge.” This fear is not terror or punishment it is a deep desire to stay connected to God’s truth, to walk in wisdom, and to let Him guide our steps even when emotions are high and wounds are fresh. A healthy fear of the Lord keeps us grounded when we are tempted to retaliate, rush decisions, or respond from pain rather than wisdom.

In this episode, we talk about why this matters so deeply for those who must continue interacting with someone who has caused harm especially in co-parenting situations. Manipulative people often try to provoke reactions, re-engage emotionally, or bait you into cycles that look like change but are really familiar traps. A healthy fear of the Lord helps us discern what is right and wrong, resist enticement, and make decisions that honor God not to please our co-parent, not even to please our children but to remain faithful, steady, and anchored in truth.

This is not a quick fix or a promise that the journey will end tomorrow. It is an invitation to walk closely with God through a process that takes time. What can be promised is this: staying connected to Him, His wisdom, and His truth will keep you from losing yourself along the way. Remember you are deeply loved and take heart Truth always wins! :)

  • What is Gaslighting?
    Mar 23 2026

Hey Friends! Its Maribel. You're not going to want to miss this Episode :) Grab your Bible and Coffee and let's talk about a common buzz word that has become popular. Have you heard of the term Gaslighting? Gaslighting is one of the most misunderstood and most damaging forms of manipulation. It is not simply lying or disagreeing. It is a consistent, intentional pattern designed to distort your reality, undermine your intuition, and shift blame onto you until you no longer trust your own mind.

In this episode, we break down what gaslighting truly is, using clear, real-life examples from Dr. Ramani’s work to help listeners recognize this tactic for what it is. We explore why manipulators rely so heavily on gaslighting, how it gradually erodes a person’s sense of self, and why research shows it can actually rewire the brain leading to memory loss, chronic self-doubt, and emotional confusion.

We also turn to Proverbs 6:16–19, examining how Scripture describes behaviors God hates not as isolated mistakes, but as perpetual patterns of character rooted in deception and manipulation. Through biblical truth and personal testimony, I share how gaslighting causes you to second guess your instincts, question your sanity, and eventually believe the false narrative imposed on you.

This episode exposes gaslighting for what it is: a destructive tactic of manipulation and spiritual deception. One that leaves lasting effects if it goes unnamed.

If you’ve ever felt like you were “going crazy,” constantly apologizing, or doubting your own reality, this episode will help you name what was happening and begin reclaiming the truth.

  • Shame on You?
    Mar 22 2026

Episode 6 "Shame on You." Have you ever been told that?

Why is so much shame placed on victims and why does it linger long after the abuse ends?

In this episode, we confront the culture of blame that surrounds survivors and unpack where shame really comes from. We explore how society, religion, and even well-meaning people can reinforce silence and guilt, often asking the wrong questions of those who were harmed.

Through Scripture, we look at the heart of Christ and see clearly that shame is not His language. Jesus does not condemn, silence, or burden the wounded. He restores, defends, and sets captives free. We examine biblical truths that dismantle victim-blaming and remind us that freedom, truth, and healing are central to the Gospel.

This episode is an invitation to release shame, reclaim your dignity, and remember: what happened to you was not your fault.

  • What is Abuse?
    Mar 16 2026

    Hi Friend,

I was waiting with so much anticipation to get this Episode to you! Here is the question that I wrestled with and I think many of you wrestle with too...

Was it really abuse or am I exaggerating? This is one of the most common questions survivors ask themselves.

In this episode, we take an honest and grounded look at what abuse actually is, using widely recognized frameworks from crisis centers to help bring clarity. We talk about emotional, psychological, verbal, financial, and controlling behaviors that often get minimized or dismissed.

We’ll discuss the difference between toxic and abusive relationships, why the word “narcissist” gets overused, and what patterns truly matter when discerning unhealthy dynamics. This episode is not about diagnosing people it’s about helping you understand what you lived through and giving language to experiences that may have been buried under doubt.

If you’ve ever wondered whether what you went through “counts,” this episode is for you.

  • The Lies I Was Told
    Mar 9 2026

Hi Friend! I just want to say that Freedom looks good on you. Was that a smile? I thought so.

Listen, Healing cannot happen until the lies are exposed. In this episode, we build on the last conversation about admitting the truth of what happened and why that honesty gives us the courage to uncover the lies that followed.

After trauma, abuse, betrayal, or living in survival mode, false beliefs can quietly shape our thinking. Lies often sound familiar, logical, or even protective: “It was my fault." "I’m too broken to change." "God doesn’t really see me." Or "This is just how life is." But anything that contradicts God’s Word is not truth even if it feels true.

In this episode, we explore how lies take root after pain, why unchallenged lies keep us stuck emotionally and spiritually, how to identify them, and how to hold them up against Scripture. We also unpack the connection between lies, fear, shame, and survival behaviors and how truth opens the door to real healing and freedom. You'll want to bring a notebook to take notes.
