  • Can You Forgive Someone and Still Keep Your Distance?
    Jun 10 2026

    Does forgiveness always mean reconciliation?

Many Christians have been taught that if they've truly forgiven someone, the relationship should immediately return to what it was before. But is that always the case?

In this episode, we unpack the difference between forgiveness and reconciliation, and why confusing the two can create real damage in relationships, churches, and leadership structures.

While reconciliation is always the ideal outcome, it requires more than forgiveness alone. Trust must be rebuilt. Repentance must be genuine. Change must be evident.

We also discuss the danger of restoring relationships or leadership positions too quickly, especially when real accountability and transformation have not taken place.

  • The Spiritual Trap Most Gifted People Fall Into
    Jun 3 2026

Can someone be incredibly talented and still be ineffective in the Kingdom of God?

In this episode, Julia, Madison, and Mike discuss the difference between talent and anointing and why the two are not the same thing. While talent can impress people, only the Holy Spirit can transform hearts.

Through the lens of worship ministry - and ministry as a whole - we talk about the importance of personal intimacy with God, living a Spirit-filled life, and spending time alone with Him to be refreshed and equipped.

Throughout Scripture, God consistently chose people who didn't look like the obvious choice. He wasn't looking for the most impressive résumé. He was looking for hearts that were fully His.

  • Partial Obedience Is Still Disobedience‼️
    May 27 2026

Obedience doesn’t just impact us; it impacts the people connected to us.

In this episode, we talk about the importance of obedience and how even partial obedience can have lasting consequences. Julia opens the conversation by sharing the story of Saul and how his decision to only partially obey God set events into motion that would affect the children of Israel generations later.

We then turn the conversation inward and discuss how our own obedience - or lack of it - can shape not only our lives, but also the lives of the people around us.

  • Who’s the Least Toxic Person in the Bible? 👀
    May 20 2026

If Bible characters had dating profiles… who’s getting swiped left? 👀

In this episode, we have a lighthearted (and slightly chaotic) conversation about biblical green flags and red flags by asking one important question:

Who would we actually date from the Bible?

    From emotionally unavailable kings…
    To questionable decision-making…
To genuine loyalty, humility, and character…

We break down which Bible characters give healthy relationship energy and which ones definitely need accountability and healing first 😂

  • You Didn’t Need to Post That…
    May 13 2026

Not every thought needs a post.
Not every emotion needs a text.
And not everything belongs online forever.

In this episode, we talk about the wisdom of keeping some things in the drafts before immediately posting, texting, subtweeting, or responding emotionally.

From seeking validation in the wrong places…
To letting social media create a false sense of confidence…
To saying things behind a screen we’d never say face-to-face…

We unpack why the heart behind what we post matters just as much as the post itself.

  • The Church Needs to Stop Faking Fine
    Apr 29 2026

In this episode, we discuss why toxic positivity can be harmful to the Church body. While hope and encouragement matter, pretending everything is always fine can create loneliness, shallow relationships, and unrealistic expectations.

We talk about why honesty is necessary for real community, how hardship teaches us to support one another, and why the Church should be a place where people can be known, not just appear okay.

  • Are Christians Allowed to Question Their Pastor?
    Apr 22 2026

Are church members allowed to question leadership?

It might seem like an obvious answer but in some environments, voicing concerns can feel discouraged, uncomfortable, or even wrong. Whether it’s due to fear, a culture of silence, or the unintentional idolization of leadership, many believers struggle to know where the line is.

In this episode, we unpack this topic, discussing leadership, accountability, and the role of congregants within the Church.

Faithful members who attend, serve, and invest in their church should be able to voice concerns. Scripture doesn’t call for blind loyalty; it calls for healthy accountability, humility, and truth spoken in love.

  • Everything Happens for a Reason… Or Does It?
    Apr 15 2026

    “Everything happens for a reason.”

It’s something we hear all the time, and maybe something we’ve said ourselves. But is it actually biblical?

In this episode of Does The Bible Say That?, we unpack why this phrase can be misleading and how it can unintentionally remove personal responsibility and the need for true repentance. While God is sovereign and able to redeem anything, not everything that happens is something He intended or approved.

We talk about the difference between God’s grace and using grace as an excuse, and what it really looks like to take responsibility for our actions while walking in obedience.

This conversation is about growth, accountability, and aligning our lives with what Scripture actually teaches.
