Who Did Time Really Hurt?
What happens when you give your dreams everything you have, only to watch time, circumstances, and disappointment slowly rewrite the story?
Who Did Time Really Hurt? is a deeply personal spoken-word poem about love, loss, disappointment, and the painful distance between the life we imagined and the life we end up living.
It tells a story of hope that once felt certain, a relationship that carried meaning, and dreams that seemed within reach—until reality began asking for a price the heart wasn’t prepared to pay. From the silence that follows heartbreak to the frustration of watching opportunities disappear, the poem explores how sometimes we don’t lose because we stopped trying; we lose because life changed the rules while we were still learning the game.
But beneath the heartbreak is a bigger question:
Did time really hurt us—or did we hurt ourselves by waiting, overthinking, holding on, and letting fear make decisions for us?
Through layered metaphors, wordplay, storytelling, and raw emotion, Who Did Time Really Hurt? turns personal disappointment into something universal—a reminder that sometimes the hardest person to forgive is yourself.
Listen closely. You might hear your own story somewhere between the lines.
