What if freedom in Christ isn’t just about what Jesus set you free from, but what He set you free for? Freedom from sin. Freedom from shame. Freedom from fear. Freedom from striving for approval. Freedom from the bondage of our old identity. But Jesus didn’t save us so we could simply live a life with fewer chains. He set us free so we could walk in the fullness of who He created us to be.

In this episode of the Salt + Light Podcast, we’re talking about what true freedom in Christ actually looks like and how it is an invitation to live by the Spirit, in love, and for the glory of God.

Because the question isn’t only, “What has Jesus freed me from? It’s also: “What has He freed me into?” Christ didn’t just break the chains. He gave us a new way to live. “For freedom Christ has set us free.” — Galatians 5:1

Tune in as we unpack what it really means to live free in Christ.

And in this episode, I’m also sharing some very exciting personal news—we’re expecting our second baby! 🤍

I’m so excited to share this next chapter with you and to testify to the goodness and faithfulness of God in our family. As we talk about freedom, identity, and surrender, it feels especially meaningful to share what God is doing in our lives right now!!

In this episode, we go beneath surface-level spirituality and into the actual architecture of a life God builds and sustains because not everything that looks strong is established and not everything that is gifted is rooted. This message pulls back the layers on what it actually means to be spiritually mature. Everyone thinks they know what spiritual maturity is, but it is not just moving in gifts, not just carrying revelation, not just producing fruit; but becoming a life that can withstand pressure, silence, seasons, and weight without collapsing underneath what God entrusted.

We explore how hidden seasons form roots, why the “field” always comes before the house, and how it's not knowledge, gifting, or power that ultimately stabilizes everything God builds in us.

This is a call back to depth. Back to hiddenness. Back to roots. Back to a life that is not inflated, but established. God is not just building platforms. He is forming people who can carry His presence.

And what He builds, He intends to sustain.

"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding." — Proverbs 9:10

In this episode, Alexa's Friend + Sister, Chloe Ardoin, speaks up about a journey so many of us silently walk — insecurity, strongholds, and the unseen bondage that can keep us stuck longer than we realize. Chloe shares how insecurity didn’t just affect her personally, but slowly worked its way into her marriage, shaping decisions, reactions, and expectations she didn’t even know were rooted in fear and control. What once felt like “normal” eventually became a weight she couldn’t carry anymore.

But Jesus met her right there — not with shame, not with pressure — but with rest. Through surrender, healing, and learning to trust Him fully, everything began to change. Her marriage was blessed. Her heart was renewed. And the season she’s walking in now is the fruit of obedience, healing, and choosing rest over striving.

This conversation is for anyone who feels held back by insecurity, trapped in cycles they can’t break, or longing for freedom but unsure where to begin. There is hope. There is healing. And freedom is closer than you think. Jesus is the answer to it all. Every time.
