    This week, we talked about Ron's unfortunate situation with a bowel blockage, what causes it and how to manage it. When it's very acute, it involves an overnight stay in the hospital. To prevent it, it involves some diet alteration. I also offered some turmeric, which is a great anti-inflammatory. We hope it doesn't happen again!

    I talked about the health benefits of two great antioxidants, astaxanthin and resveratrol. Great for cardiovascular, genetic, eye health, and more! I then started into foods that can help to keep cholesterol low.

We also talked about how early menopause can increase a woman's risk of cardiovascular disease. Less hormones means less resilient blood vessels, more need for repair, and more likelihood of blockage!

He stopped, and he's now taking iron. We hope he'll get his energy back soon! I also gave an update on the surgery I don't need for my back, and I what I AM doing. Ice, ice, baby! We finished with the health reasons it's important to sleep in complete darkness, and how you can do it.
