• Stigma and Harm Reduction

    In this episode we discuss stigma and harm reduction with Dr. Ginetta Salvalaggio, Jackie Myers, and Brandi Abele. They each use their perspectives from various health care positions on stigma, empathy, how to be an active listener, and mistrust and ‘othering’ as barriers to care.

In part 1 we provided an introduction to these concepts and explored interconnected health and traditional medicine as it relates to pharmacy practice. In part two we explore the principles of trauma informed care and discuss treaty status and coverage with patients.
