This week, Chad and Jeff are chatting with singer/songwriter and longtime bassist for the Muggs, TONY MUGGS, who also writes, records, and performs with his solo project/band, known as DUDE, along with The Hourlies, and a couple of cover bands! We talk about Ween, we talk about Fleetwood Mac, we talk about how awesome of a guitar player Danny Muggs is, and we talk about Tony's incredible life and incredible journey in music/art and beyond!

Singer/songwriter Matthew Teardrop, from the Matthew Teardrop Orchestra, and bassist Shaun Hunter, join Jeff and Chad to talk about cathartic songwriting, adventures in the Bay Area and LA punk scenes, encounters with Marc Maron, and steadily integrating into the Detroit Scene!

This week, Chad and Jeff welcome 1/2 of the quartet known as Secondary Colors, with drummer Alex Jarmoluk and Ben Devins, the other founding member, Alex Belfrie, was out on tour during this interview, with another band known as Mod Lang, which also happens to feature Antonio Keka who also happens to be the fourth (recently joined) member of Secondary Colors! Just before Labor Day, Chad and I were able to interview 66.67% of the dreamy-garage-goth rock group MIRROR MASK! We talked about their formation, their aesthetic, the upcoming Mirror Mask album, and also, a few tangents into horror films, ashwaganda, and monochromatic stage outfits. Oh, and you'll hear us mention, toward the end, that they haven't quiiiiite settled on that album title, yet, but follow them on socials for updates <3

Mirror Mask are finishing up their new album; they worked with producer Greg Ahee and are currently mixing with Ahee and Kate Derringer.

One of our all-time favorite engineers, Zach Shipps, joins us to talk about his life-in-sound(-recording)! Shipps takes us from the 90s, during his formative years as a music fan and musician who, even back then, was fascinated with recording technology and the techniques of the producers working behind the scenes of his (and our) favorite albums!

Shipps was known as The Colonel during his time as a guitarist for The Electric Six, and has also worked with The Atomic Numbers, Mood Elevator, and Brendon Benson. In our chat, we dug into the early 2000s, when Shipps started getting deeper into a role as an engineer, aiding in the production of some of the best local albums of the last quarter-century!

Towards the end, Shipps lists off some of his current projects, many of which will see the light of day soon, including the latest from Jesse Shepherd-Bates, and more! Tune in!

Here, loosely commemorating the 11th year of the founding of Tin Foil, on the eve of the release of their third album, Chad and Jeff finally sit down with Andrew Hecker, who's worked at Outer Limits since the doors opened under John & Kelly's management, since 2017--along with bandmate and co-songwriter Steve Kowalski, to talk about their origins and misadventures, as well as the inspiration behind their third album's title: Chicken Sandwich.
