  • 269 - The P.C. Vey Tribute
    Oct 7 2026

This week's podcast is a special tribute to New Yorker Cartoonist, P.C. Vey.
Peter passed away on September 17th. He was a terrific cartoonist with a wonderfully bent sense of humor. We invited cartoonists Michael Maslin, Drew Dernavich and Shannon Wheeler to talk about Peter and his cartoons. We have some insightful discussions about his work and we couldn't help laughing as we talked about his cartoons. It wouldn't be a tribute to someone who created so many funny cartoons if there wasn't a lot of laughter.

You can find P.C. Vey's cartoons here:
    https://condenaststore.com/art/vey?searchType=artistname

Drew and Shannon stay on with the hosts to discuss the New Yorker Caption Contests:

Finalists for contest #1004 (Growling stomachs? That's a poor sign.)

We also talk about our favorite cartoons from the current issue of the New Yorker.
