In this episode, I'm joined by Jess, who shares her incredible journey through depression, trauma, survival, and finding love and faith in the most unexpected place.

In 2017, Jess survived a suicide attempt after jumping from a four-story parking garage while pregnant. She suffered devastating injuries, lost her unborn baby, and had to learn to walk again. Years later, still struggling with chronic pain, depression, and her sense of self-worth, she met Bryant, a man serving 50 years to life in prison.

What began as a friendship slowly became something neither of them expected. Through his patience, encouragement, and unwavering faith, Bryant helped Jess rediscover her worth, rebuild her relationship with God, and begin healing from years of pain.

We also discuss the judgment faced by those who love someone incarcerated, the hypocrisy that can exist within Christian communities, and what it truly means to practice forgiveness, compassion, and unconditional love.

Jess's story is a powerful reminder that someone's past doesn't define who they are today, that healing isn't always linear, and that sometimes the people who change our lives come from the places we'd least expect.
