  • John Hinckley Jr. 10 Years After Release: Reagan, Jodie Foster & What Changed
    Aug 17 2026

Ten years after John Hinckley Jr. left St. Elizabeths Hospital, his attempted assassination of President Ronald Reagan remains one of the most remarkable chapters in modern presidential history.

In this episode of MX3 Podcast, we revisit the events that led John Hinckley Jr. from an obsession with Jodie Foster to stalking President Jimmy Carter, an airport arrest involving firearms, and ultimately the March 30, 1981 assassination attempt on Ronald Reagan outside the Washington Hilton.

We also discuss Hinckley's surprising connections to Ardmore, Oklahoma and Highland Park, Texas, his fascination with Taxi Driver, the warning signs before the Reagan shooting, his insanity verdict, his 2016 release from St. Elizabeths under restrictions, and the later removal of those restrictions.

A recent interview has once again brought Hinckley and his fixation on Jodie Foster into the spotlight. Nearly half a century after the shooting, one difficult question remains: should the public consider John Hinckley Jr. rehabilitated, or does his history still give you pause?

  • He Faked a Hole-in-One: When Cutting Corners Becomes Cheating
    Aug 13 2026

What happens when taking a shortcut crosses the line into outright cheating?

In this episode of MX3 Podcast, we discuss the story of former college golfer Zach Holland and his account of staging a hole-in-one during a member-member tournament at WingHaven Country Club. A planted golf ball, an alleged phone call about his grandmother, a suspiciously convenient tee shot, and security-camera footage turned one round of golf into a much bigger lesson about honesty, reputation, and consequences.

But the conversation goes beyond golf.

Why do people cut corners? Does pressure at work encourage otherwise honest people to bypass rules? What happens when employees are given unrealistic expectations without the time, tools, or resources needed to meet them? And does the way someone behaves when nobody appears to be watching reveal something deeper about their character?

We discuss cheating in sports, workplace shortcuts, moral character, personal responsibility, and why the “easy way out” can end up costing far more than doing things the right way.

💬 We want to hear from you: What is the craziest golf cheating story you have ever seen or heard?

  • Baseball Hall of Fame: Worth the Trip or a Major Disappointment?
    Aug 10 2026

Is the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown a must-see shrine to baseball history, or does the experience fall short of expectations?

In this episode of MX3 Podcast, we break down a recent firsthand visit to Cooperstown and what was surprisingly missing. From the Hall of Fame Plaque Gallery and exhibits featuring Babe Ruth, Nolan Ryan, Mickey Mantle, Roger Maris, Pete Rose, Shohei Ohtani and more, we look at how baseball history is presented and compare the experience with the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

We also discuss Cooperstown's massive youth baseball scene, the challenges of visiting the small New York town, and the biggest question of all: Is the Baseball Hall of Fame actually worth making a special trip to see?

Before getting into Cooperstown, we kick things off with a surprising Jaws story involving Martha's Vineyard, shark attacks, and one of the movie's child actors more than 50 years later.

Do you agree with the criticism, or is Cooperstown still a bucket-list destination for every baseball fan? Tell us what you think in the comments.
