The idea of making our population healthier itself should not be controversial; it should be a shared goal. Since employers have a stake in the health of their employees – not just the cost of providing health insurance coverage, but also the cost of absenteeism, productivity and overall energy at work due to poor health – should they play a more active role than in the past in helping employees obtain better overall health?
