A proposito di questo titolo

The show will talk about how human resources professionals can optimally impact their workplaces, focusing a lot of what is happening culturally, politically and economically currently that may be driving change. I am passionate about HR getting “ahead” of the curve and not always being in a reactive mode, as is mostly the case it seems. In addition, up and coming HR professionals seem to have less meaningful mentoring, especially with so much work from home being a norm. Potential topics I am looking to tackle are how the student loan crises may be impacting the requirement for degrees, employee finances, etc., how can employers be impactful partners with the MAHA movement and help make their employees healthier, the pros and cons of AI, especially when our focus is people, how do we embrace all generations in the workforce and get out of the stereotyping and “us vs them” culture.© 2025 MOVE THE NEEDLE People and Culture Podcast Economia
  • MAKING AMERICA HEALTHY AGAIN – DO EMPLOYERS HAVE A ROLE?
    Jan 16 2026

There is a lot of chatter nationally around healthcare – but the focus seems to be on the cost of health insurance, which is not healthcare, just a means to pay for it. Employers provide insurance for millions of Americans and their family members, and the cost seems to escalate every year. The idea of making our population healthier itself should not be controversial; it should be a shared goal. Since employers have a stake in the health of their employees – not just the cost of providing health insurance coverage, but also the cost of absenteeism, productivity and overall energy at work due to poor health – should they play a more active role than in the past in helping employees obtain better overall health? Host Kim Samuel talks with Mike Petefish and Chris Hogan, local brokers with a lot of experience and insight into employer benefit programs, about how we might look at this topic moving forward.
