  • Connections with Other Organisations
    Mar 13 2026

The fifth episode of MBH and Connections: The Podcast is here. This time around I am talking to another professional - Steve, CEO of Herefordshire Headway. Steve had recently met with my colleague to discuss Headway working in partnership with MBH. In this episode, Steve and I reflect upon the parallels of how our charities assist people with brain injuries, and discuss what our working in partnership might look like in the future, and the benefits of our combined approaches.

  • Connections and Parkinson's - Working Age
    Mar 12 2026

Here is episode four of MBH & Connections: The Podcast. Today I am talking to another participant of ours who attends our Parkinson’s group. Dave was diagnosed with Parkinson’s while he was still working full time, and talks to me about his diagnosis and balancing the condition with a full time job. He went on to set up the Parkinson’s Group for People of Working Age in Hereford, aimed at ensuring that people who are still working have access to a Parkinson’s support group. Today Dave and I discuss how his Parkinson’s affected his work and connections with his colleagues, the connections he has formed since retiring from work, and also the connections that he has formed within his CE sessions.

  • Connections with Schools
    Mar 11 2026

Welcome back to MBH & Connections: The Podcast, bringing you episode three. Today I am moving away from our participants, and instead talking to Zoe, Westfield School's Business Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to talk about connections since MBH have been working in partnership with the school for several years, delivering Conductive Education sessions on a weekly basis within the school to the pupils. In this episode, Zoe and I reflect on the impact of those connections on the school, the pupils and the teachers.

  • Connections and Parkinson's
    Mar 10 2026

Welcome back to episode two of MBH & Connections: The Podcast, in celebration of Conductive Education Awareness Week 2026. This time I am talking to Sarah, an adult participant of ours who has Parkinson’s. Alongside our CE sessions, Sarah also runs a Parkinson’s support group in Ledbury called PALS, and she talks to us today about the importance of connections – for herself and other people with Parkinson’s. Sarah and I also try to work out what PALS stands for, as well as briefly discuss the use of a new technology we tried in her group, called Blazepods.
