What happens after 5 when WonderLaura stops teaching SharePoint and starts talking about everything else?
For Episode 2 of M365 After 5, Diego Domingos da Silva (@UnsuckM365) and Joy Apple (@joyofsharepoint) hang out with Laura Rogers , better known to many in the Microsoft community as @WonderLaura.
We get into Laura’s life outside of work, including growing up in South Louisiana, strong opinions about gumbo and jambalaya, cooking despite never quite following the recipe, La La Land, Silo, The IT Crowd, and what life looks like now that two of her three kids have moved out.
We also dig into some classic community history, including nine-hour SharePoint Saturday road trips, buying a keg after drinking the hotel bar dry, roadside cowboy hats, and how Laura went from working an IT help desk in 1999 to deciding her coworkers were going to learn Microsoft Office whether they planned to or not.
And because this is M365 After 5, we get into the more personal side too, including what it’s like being known as WonderLaura, the strange experience of people telling her she taught them everything they know about SharePoint, work-life balance, conference travel, regrets, and what fills her cup, both literally and figuratively.
Microsoft 365 might be what brought us together, but it’s definitely not the only thing we have to talk about.
