Dark Night of the SOL: What we once felt confident in, where we felt we belonged, what we deemed as safe and dependable has shifted. Many of us have been shown through some rude awakenings, rejections, sudden changes of heart that we cannot cling to the old methods and structures.

Energetic separations are in season: Your inner emotional patterns have shifted. This alters your vibrational field. What resonated with the old version no longer resonates with today’s version. Certain people, places, and things that used to harmonize and fit with that old emotional program start to crack off like chipped paint or dead tree bark.

Scattered Energy: What feels right might keep changing. We can’t decide on one solid path or direction to commit to. We’re only getting baby steps at a time, no complete set of directions. Our final full moon of the year forms a Grand Cross involving all four mutable signs. Mutable signs signal the end of a season. Ready or not, we’ve reached the last stop, almost stranded, treading water, waiting for the next clear route.

The “stall-out syndrome” was due to the inundation of retrogrades throughout November. Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune were all moving backwards causing delays, predicaments, doubts, and lapses in support. It’s a Hyper-Speed Waiting Game. The mind is accelerating through options and calculations while we sit in purgatory. In the conundrum, you may have latched ahold of something you thought was a surefire fix… only to realize that it wasn’t. Then we were back to square one.

With all this mutable energy — all the errands, details, conversations, and communications to send out — things can be a bit chaotic. Suddenly there’s so much demanding our attention. It gets difficult to prioritize and find a productive flow. Make sure you’re grounding that mental frenzy with physical activity and plugging into nature.

This Full Moon pits the Sun in Sagittarius opposite the Moon in Gemini. That’s one straight line, one diameter, drawn directly across the zodiac. Now, this full moon diameter line happens to fall exactly perpendicular to the degree against the diameter between the South Node in Virgo and the North Node in Pisces. This creates a Grand Cross, a solid equilateral X in the sky, in all 4 mutable signs. The specific relation to the Nodes of Fate ignites critical karmic choice points. Gateways are opening. Where there was once a wall, a doorway has appeared, and this door has your name on it. The question is, when the heck is going to open?!

The Taurus/Scorpio axis is the embodiment (Taurus) of what we inherit (Scorpio). It’s the values we work in service of (Taurus) that come from a deep and personal knowing of the self (Scorpio). The split here, the free-will choice you have here, is between inheriting the ideas and programming of previous generations, perpetuating previous versions of you, and transforming, rebirthing, reclaiming your authentic expression of spirit.

This is really evident (and fascinating!) because within days of this full moon, Uranus will re-enter Taurus and oppose both Mars and Mercury in Scorpio. So not only is this a full moon, with the sun in Scorpio opposing the moon in Taurus, but that same polarity, same opposition will reverberate and ripple in octaves throughout the entire month of November. Uranus in Taurus is the awakener, the rebel yell, the shock to the system that empowers breaking the cycle. As you chart the next move, are you carrying forth like a zombie reenacting those accursed generational programs? Or are you tapping into that deeper rebellion, that resilience that says, “the buck stops here, I’ve got to change this for my own sake!”

Taurus and Scoprio are energies of money, property, and emotional entanglement. It gets real messy, real quick. The ugly side of your emotional patterns, and the ugly side of the property you rent, own, and share are in the spotlight. You know the saying “you get what you pay for”? You’ll be confronted with the energetic and empathetic cost of your current relationships and property. Taurus is about financial investment, and Scorpio is about emotional investment. 

This full moon is ruled by Venus, who always wants the best for our self-love and growth. In Virgo, she’s helping us sort out the pieces. Is there room to grow in what we’re choosing? Take the time to analyze. Are your confines worth the definition? Or is it time to break the chain? This theme is also underlined by Saturn and Neptune’s ongoing transit through Pisces, showing us the realities behind the assumptions we’ve accepted, both individually and as a collective society.

REMOVING THE MASK

This new moon is very much putting our rightful self-expression and will to create personal fulfillment against where we are currently implicated by and entangled within the wrong crowd.

Leo is known as the performer, the skilled showman. But is the part you play coming from the heart, out of authentic, sovereign self-love? Or is it a crafted character assumed for protection, out of fear, or for material possessions? Mercury retrograde here this month will help to shed light on what you're participating in and why. This New Moon directly opposed to Pluto plus Mars conjunct the South Node in Virgo will help you take steps to cast off that mask and never pick it up again.

Leo is our sacred roar. It is our fixed fire, the solar plexus chakra, our will power, our right to life – and not just any life, our right to the life that is uniquely and divinely decreed by the beat of our own heart and no one else’s. Leo is what you were born to do. When we live in alignment with that sacred roar, we magnetically attract the correct attention and resources.
