    ------------------

    Mark 1:14-20

    14 Now after John was arrested, Jesus came into Galilee, proclaiming the gospel of God, 15 and saying, "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel."

    16 Passing alongside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew the brother of Simon casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen. 17 And Jesus said to them, "Follow me, and I will make you become fishers of men." 18 And immediately they left their nets and followed him. 19 And going on a little farther, he saw James the son of Zebedee and John his brother, who were in their boat mending the nets. 20 And immediately he called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired servants and followed him.

    Jan 13 2026

    ----------------------

    Mark 1:1-13

    John the Baptist Prepares the Way

    1 The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

    2 As it is written in Isaiah the prophet,

    "Behold, I send my messenger before your face,
    who will prepare your way,
    3 the voice of one crying in the wilderness:
    'Prepare the way of the Lord,
    make his paths straight,'"

    4 John appeared, baptizing in the wilderness and proclaiming a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. 5 And all the country of Judea and all Jerusalem were going out to him and were being baptized by him in the river Jordan, confessing their sins. 6 Now John was clothed with camel's hair and wore a leather belt around his waist and ate locusts and wild honey. 7 And he preached, saying, "After me comes he who is mightier than I, the strap of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and untie. 8 I have baptized you with water, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit."

    The Baptism of Jesus

    9 In those days Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan. 10 And when he came up out of the water, immediately he saw the heavens being torn open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove. 11 And a voice came from heaven, "You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased."

    The Temptation of Jesus

    12 The Spirit immediately drove him out into the wilderness. 13 And he was in the wilderness forty days, being tempted by Satan. And he was with the wild animals, and the angels were ministering to him.

  • Thriving in Grace | Romans 3:21-31 | Don Krafft | Formation Sunday
    Dec 29 2025

    Do you feel weighed down by guilt, pressure, or the need to "measure up" spiritually? This week's teaching reminds us that God's grace changes everything. Listen in as we explores how grace frees us from performance-based faith, replaces shame with peace, and reshapes how we live each day. Discover how resting in God's grace brings real freedom, humility, and a transformed life rooted in His love.

    ------------

    Romans 3:21-31

    21 But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it— 22 the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction: 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25 whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God's righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins. 26 It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.

    27 Then what becomes of our boasting? It is excluded. By what kind of law? By a law of works? No, but by the law of faith. 28 For we hold that one is justified by faith apart from works of the law. 29 Or is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles also? Yes, of Gentiles also, 30 since God is one—who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through faith. 31 Do we then overthrow the law by this faith? By no means! On the contrary, we uphold the law.

  • Christmas Eve | Isaiah 9:2-7 | Austin Glenn | Servant King: An Advent Series
    Dec 29 2025

    Life can feel heavy, uncertain, and overwhelming—especially when hope seems hard to find. This Christmas Eve message points us to a light that shines in the darkness. Through an ancient prophecy and the birth of Jesus, we're reminded that true peace is still possible. Join us as we reflect on Jesus as our Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace—and discover how His light can meet us right where we are.

    ------------------

    Isaiah 9:2-7

    2 The people who walked in darkness
    have seen a great light;
    those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness,
    on them has light shone.
    3 You have multiplied the nation;
    you have increased its joy;
    they rejoice before you
    as with joy at the harvest,
    as they are glad when they divide the spoil.
    4 For the yoke of his burden,
    and the staff for his shoulder,
    the rod of his oppressor,
    you have broken as on the day of Midian.
    5 For every boot of the tramping warrior in battle tumult
    and every garment rolled in blood
    will be burned as fuel for the fire.
    6 For to us a child is born,
    to us a son is given;
    and the government shall be upon his shoulder,
    and his name shall be called
    Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
    Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
    7 Of the increase of his government and of peace
    there will be no end,
    on the throne of David and over his kingdom,
    to establish it and to uphold it
    with justice and with righteousness
    from this time forth and forevermore.
    The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this.

  • The Mission of Jesus | Philippians 2:6-18 | Austin Glenn | Servant King: An Advent Series
    Dec 22 2025

    What is Christmas really about beyond the lights and traditions? In a world that often feels heavy and uncertain, this week's teaching from King's Cross Church points us to Jesus, the Light of the World, who came to overcome the darkness. As we celebrate Christmas this week, discover how His arrival brings real hope, lasting purpose, and light that still meets us in everyday life today.

    ------------------

    Philippians 2:6-18

    6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. 9 Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, 10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

    Lights in the World

    12 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, 13 for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.

    14 Do all things without grumbling or disputing, 15 that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, 16 holding fast to the word of life, so that in the day of Christ I may be proud that I did not run in vain or labor in vain. 17 Even if I am to be poured out as a drink offering upon the sacrificial offering of your faith, I am glad and rejoice with you all. 18 Likewise you also should be glad and rejoice with me.
