Originally formed in Fort Collins before a stint in New Orleans and a subsequent return to Colorado, VIVIAN OBLIVION has evolved from a glitchy indie-rock duo into a full-scale ensemble. Their sound is a shimmering mix of indie-pop and experimental rock, defined by glittering synth lines and a rhythmic complexity that occasionally veers into the frantic. The production is vibrant and layered, balancing the cold precision of electronic elements with the warm, organic energy of a live band.

The performance mechanics of VIVIAN OBLIVION involve a sophisticated coordination of live instrumentation and programmed textures. On stage, the band displays a high degree of technical proficiency, navigating the shift from minimalist electronic passages to full-ensemble rock crescendos with ease. Their stage presence is engaging and slightly artful, reflecting the band's history of geographical and sonic evolution.
