    We sit down with Chad Rea and discuss his journey into becoming a fine artist without a fine arts degree, how his experiences shape the work he is currently making, and how his degree path helps inform the current work he is making.

    Chad Rea (American, b. 1971) is a multidisciplinary artist who was born in Inglewood, California and raised in El Paso, Texas. He received his BA in Advertising from Texas Tech University in 1994 and holds a certificate in Advanced Spiritual Psychology from University of Santa Monica. Rea lives in Lockhart, Texas where he curates exhibitions and public art experiences through LockhART HOUSE, his home studio/gallery/airbnb.
