  • How our Spiritual Paths are a Response to the Metacrisis
    Oct 19 2026

How can spiritual awakening, psychological healing, and personal transformation help us respond to the metacrisis—the interconnected global challenges of climate change, artificial intelligence (AI), political polarization, authoritarianism, wealth inequality, and the crisis of meaning? In this video, I explore how our individual spiritual paths and healing journeys are inseparable from the collective evolution of humanity. Rather than becoming overwhelmed by the world's problems or retreating into our personal lives, we can learn to move from reactivity to conscious responsiveness. By deepening our presence, embodiment, self-awareness, and connection with others, we begin to discover how our own awakening and healing can contribute to meaningful social and planetary transformation.

What if the crises facing humanity are not simply problems to solve, but invitations to evolve? Drawing on the interconnected processes of spiritual awakening, psychological healing, personal evolution, and conscious relating, I explore how living more fully in the present moment allows us to discover what life is calling us to do. We don't need to have all the answers, achieve spiritual perfection, or single-handedly solve the world's problems. Instead, we can begin right where we are, cultivating greater alignment within ourselves, deeper relationships with others, and a more conscious participation in the world. In this way, our spiritual practice becomes more than an individual pursuit of enlightenment—it becomes an embodied response to the metacrisis, contributing to collective healing, ecological awareness, and the evolution of human consciousness.

  • Balancing Nondual Spirituality and Psychological Healing
    Oct 12 2026

How can nondual spirituality and psychological healing work together without slipping into spiritual bypassing or psychological bypassing? In this video, I explore the relationship between spiritual awakening, trauma healing, dissociation, and psychological integration. I distinguish between a nondual, deconstructive mode of practice—where thoughts, emotions, sensations, and the sense of self are recognized within awareness—and a healing, reconstructive mode that turns toward wounded, protective, or dissociated parts of ourselves with curiosity, compassion, and loving attention.

Rather than seeing awakening and healing as competing paths, I argue that they can deeply support one another. Nondual practice can strengthen our capacity for disidentification, spaciousness, and presence, while trauma healing can help us integrate the psychological material that makes spiritual realization difficult to embody in relationships and everyday life. The key is learning to discern what each moment is asking for: Does this experience need to be opened through into awareness, or does it need to be felt, understood, loved, and reintegrated?

  • Psychological Bypassing: When our Psychology Avoids Spirituality
    Oct 5 2026

Psychological bypassing is the flip side of spiritual bypassing: instead of using spirituality to avoid our psychology, we become so identified with psychological healing, trauma work, and the constructed sense of self that we close ourselves off to spiritual transcendence. In this video, I explore psychological bypassing through Western psychology, Buddhist psychology, and yogic psychology, and introduce practices such as decentering and self-inquiry that can loosen our identification with thoughts, emotions, identities, and psychological narratives. But spiritual transcendence is not a replacement for psychological development. Drawing on Jack Engler’s insight that “you have to be somebody before you can be nobody,” I discuss the important relationship between trauma and deconstructive inquiry practice. Ultimately, healing and awakening require an ongoing balance between psychological integration and transcendence, avoiding both spiritual bypassing and psychological bypassing. To learn more about me and my services:https://www.integrated-awakening.comJack Engler's 1984 article:https://www.atpweb.org/jtparchive/trps-16-84-01-025.pdf?utm_source=chatgpt.comKramer & Giommi's 2026 article: https://link.springer.com/content/pdf/10.1007/s12671-026-02967-8.pdf?utm_source=chatgpt.com
