• What Does It Really Mean to Be Spiritual? | Love, God, Suffering & Self-Love
    Oct 12 2026

What does it actually mean to be spiritual? Is spirituality about religion, connecting with God, sensing energy, or simply being a good human being?

In Episode 14 of the Source Medicine Podcast, Dr. Anita Wasik and Nikolay Ayerov explore spirituality through their personal experiences, beliefs, and understanding of love, suffering, relationships, and the human journey.

Together, they explore the difference between religion and spirituality, the possibility that God and love are expressions of the same underlying force, and the idea that our souls may experience life as a journey of discovery, growth, and ultimately returning to ourselves.

But spirituality isn't necessarily about seeing angels, feeling energy, or having extraordinary experiences. Perhaps one of the most meaningful expressions of spirituality is how we treat ourselves and the people around us.

This brings us to an important question: Is it still worth being a good person in a world where kindness is sometimes taken advantage of?

And what does being good actually mean when kindness toward others comes at the expense of ourselves?

We also explore masculine and feminine polarity, the role relationships can play in spiritual growth, and how love can remain unconditional even when the boundaries of a relationship change. Because loving someone doesn't necessarily mean giving them unlimited access to your life.

    In this episode, we explore:

    • What spirituality means to Anita and Nikolay
    • The differences and connections between religion and spirituality
    • God, love, and the possibility that they are one
    • The soul's journey and the meaning we give to human experience
    • Suffering, spiritual growth, and returning to ourselves
    • Why spiritual experiences aren't necessarily measures of spiritual maturity
    • Masculine and feminine polarity in relationships and spiritual development
    • Why being a good person is always worthwhile
    • Self-love, healthy boundaries, and unconditional love.

Whether you consider yourself religious, spiritual, curious, or simply someone trying to live a meaningful life, we invite you into an open conversation about what spirituality might look like in everyday human experience.

What does spirituality mean to you? And can you love someone unconditionally while choosing not to have them in your life?

We'd love to hear your perspective in the comments.

  • Parasites: Beyond Cleansing — Biology, Energy, and Relationship
    May 6 2026

This episode of Our Source Medicine Podcast brings a grounded, clear perspective to parasites cutting through fear-based detox culture and oversimplified narratives. We explore what parasites actually are biologically, why they become problematic, and how the state of the body’s internal environment plays a central role.

Rather than focusing on constant cleansing, the conversation shifts toward supporting the body’s terrain digestion, immunity, and nervous system regulation as the true foundation of balance. We also touch on the psychological and energetic patterns that can influence resilience, without drifting into abstraction.

The key message is simple: health isn’t built through fear or constant elimination, but through stability, awareness, and supporting the body as a living ecosystem.
