The real failure, as argued here, isn't the setback itself — it's repeating the same mistake without ever extracting the lesson from it.

On recovery: There's no sugarcoating how long it can take to bounce back from a real setback — sometimes years, depending on how deep the impact was.

The reframe: Instead of just asking "what went wrong," the episode suggests a different question — "what was successful about the journey itself?" Even when the overall outcome was rough, there's often something worth pulling out: a lesson, a moment of growth, or an experience that changed your perspective going forward
