Nearly two decades later, authorities formed a task force and conducted a new search, but Sonya remained missing. More than 22 years after her disappearance, the identity of the caller is still unknown, and her family continues to wait for answers.

In this episode of Hunting 4 Answers: In September 1994, 42-year-old Deborah Taylor traveled from Virginia Beach to Northern Virginia with her longtime boyfriend. After checking into a hotel, Deborah called her mother. It would be the last known communication from her. Her boyfriend later said Deborah had taken a taxi and left him. And six days later, he was dead. When authorities returned to the hotel room where the couple had stayed, they found blood on the mattress and walls, but Deborah was never found. More than three decades later, her disappearance remains unsolved.

Then, a social media post reached the right person, ultimately leading investigators to 25-year-old Makaila Luckey. But identifying Makaila only answered one of the questions surrounding her case. As of this recording, her homicide remains unsolved, and police are still looking for information about her final days, including where she was and who she may have been with.
