Electric Lullaby

  • Riassunto

  • It all started a few years ago, on a hot July day. My two-year-old son Frank had apparently decided not to sleep on that night... And when I gave up all hope and the apartment without AC got really unbearably hot, I turned on the fan... The rest is, hmm, literally silence ;o) Indeed, the sleep-inducing effects of various sounds (such as fan white noise) have been scientifically proven! These sounds can help you if you want to fall asleep, relax, study, focus, meditate or soothe a crying baby. Here, on Electric Lullaby I'd like to share some of these sounds with you. Enjoy, Dave.

What's the best place to sleep for a two-year-old? Cozy bedroom? A covered terrace bathed in greenery? Oh, no... The best according to my friend Alice is any room with the air conditioner on! It is not known exactly why this is so, but with the air conditioner on, her little son falls asleep and sleeps for several hours. Of course, it is also important to choose the temperature in the room properly. However, Alice says that the very soft hum of the air conditioner has a calming effect on the little one and helps him fall asleep. True, this may seem a bit strange to many... Anyway, it works!

This is a one-hour episode but you can also watch the original 8-hour version of Large Air Conditioner Lullaby on YouTube.

Why is the Air Conditioner White Noise calming? Scientists have proven that this sound can guide neuronal waves in our brains, creating a calming effect that may help you effectively if you want to fall asleep, relax, study, focus, meditate or calm a crying baby.

    Enjoy,
    Dave.

Those of us who remember the time of analogue television may have seen their parents, grandparents or uncles asleep with a snowy TV turned on. Now, it is very possible that you will see your babies fall asleep to the same sound!

This is a one-hour episode but you can also watch the original 7-hour version of TV Static Lullaby on YouTube.

Why is the TV Static White Noise calming?  Scientists have proven that this sound can guide neuronal waves in our  brains, creating a calming effect that may help you effectively if you  want to fall asleep, relax, study, focus, meditate or calm a crying  baby.

What is the most relaxing sound?  According to the latest research, the most soothing sounds are all the  noises, like white, blue and pink - the sounds made by various household  electrical appliances, such as fans, vacuums, dryers or blenders. All  they are known for calming effects, as they masks high and low-frequency  noise pollution. They are all considered to be one of the most  effective methods for relaxing, calming down and falling asleep, for  babies and adults alike.

    Enjoy!
    Dave.
