The existence of evil can make God's hand impossible to trace. Scripture refuses shallow explanations, as though every tragedy could be decoded from a distance. Instead, God gives us something firmer than an explanation: his promises. At the cross, his saving work was hidden beneath weakness, suffering, and apparent defeat. The resurrection shows that his hiddenness is not absence and his silence is not indifference. We may not understand his ways, but we know his heart in Christ.

Christian faith does not rest on Jesus as merely a wise teacher, moral example, or inspiring martyr. He is the eternal Son, the visible image of the invisible God, the One through whom and for whom all things were made. His divinity is not an abstract doctrine. Only God could bear the full weight of the world's sin and conquer death; only the true man Jesus could stand in our place. With Thomas, the Church worships him: My Lord and my God.

The Bible is not a fragile collection of religious impressions waiting for each generation to repair it. It is God's breathed-out, textually certain, living Word. Through it, the Spirit exposes the blind spots our culture normalizes, corrects the stories we tell ourselves, and opens the Scriptures around the face of Christ. We trust the Bible not because every reader is unbiased, but because its divine Author is faithful.
