  • Is Your Fear Turning You Into a Control Freak? | Taurus Archetype
    Oct 13 2026

What happens when the desire for stability becomes a need for control?

In this episode of Diary of a Shadow Healer, I explores the Taurus archetype, Taurus shadow work, astrology, and Jungian psychology to uncover how loyalty, patience, and determination can become possessiveness, stubbornness, and fear of losing what we love.

Discover how childhood experiences and relationship wounds can shape our need for security, why protection can become control, and how shadow work can help us build emotional security without trying to control everything around us.

  • Why We Secretly Want the Vampire to Choose Us | The Toxic Love Archetype
    Oct 6 2026

What if the reason toxic love feels so intoxicating has less to do with love and more to do with being chosen?

In this episode of Diary of a Shadow Healer, I explore the vampire archetype as a psychological metaphor for toxic love, trauma bonds, emotional hunger, and the shadow side of intense attraction.

Vampire stories have survived for centuries because they tap into a very human fantasy: being so desired that someone loses control around you. But beneath that fantasy can be something deeper the desire to feel like we finally matter.

Through Jungian psychology, shadow work, and vampire mythology, I explore why emotional uncertainty can become addictive, why trauma bonds can feel like fate, and why some people become attached to relationships that repeatedly hurt them.

I also explore the vampire's hunger, not just as a metaphor for the person who consumes emotional energy, but for the person who is desperately trying to fill an internal emptiness through another human being.

And then we turn the shadow inward.

Why do we sometimes keep inviting these relationships into our lives? What does being intensely desired give us that being calmly loved doesn't? And why can healthy, consistent love sometimes feel strangely boring after we've become accustomed to chaos?

This episode explores toxic love, trauma bonds, love bombing, emotional dependency, attachment patterns, validation, self-worth, shadow work, Jungian psychology, vampire mythology, and the psychology behind confusing intensity with intimacy.

Because sometimes the most dangerous part of the vampire isn't that they drain you.

It's that you mistake being drained for being loved.

And when you stop confusing hunger with intimacy, the vampire loses its power.

  • Why We Resist Change | The Neptune Archetype
    Oct 1 2026

Why do we resist change? Even when we know something is no longer serving us? Sometimes the hardest thing to doisn't fight harder. It's let go.

In this episode of Diary of a Shadow Healer, we explore the Neptune Archetype and the psychology of surrender, attachment, illusion, and release. Neptune asks us to loosen our grip. Not because what we're releasing never mattered, but because sometimes we've simply outgrown it.

Through the story of Avalokiteśvara, the Bodhisattva of Compassion, we explore what happens when releasing one path creates space for another. Then we turn toward Neptune's shadow through the mythology of the Sirens and the seductive promise that keeps us holding on: onemore chance, one more tomorrow, one more wave.

We'll explore what happens when familiarity begins to feel safer than change, how outdated identities and dreams can become difficult to release, and how shadow work can help us recognize what we're still carrying long after it has served its purpose.

This episode also includes a shadow work prompt to help you ask: What outdated belief, identity, or dream am I still carrying even though I've outgrown it? And perhaps the harder question: Who might I become if I finally let it go?

Because sometimes letting go isn't losing something. Sometimes it's finally making room for what's next.
