  • What's Really Happening with Bruno Fernandes & Manchester United?
    Oct 19 2026

How to Fix the Bruno Fernandes Problem at Manchester United
Bruno Fernandes remains one of Manchester United's most important players, but is the team actually getting the best out of him? And could the way Michael Carrick is using his captain be contributing to United's biggest tactical problems?

Following another frustrating 1-1 draw against Leeds United, questions are growing about Manchester United's midfield balance, attacking structure and inability to control football matches consistently.

In this video, I'm breaking down the Bruno Fernandes problem at Manchester United, why his individual brilliance doesn't always translate into collective performances and how Michael Carrick can build a more balanced team without sacrificing his captain's creativity.

Bruno's quality has never been the question. His passing range, chance creation, work rate and ability to produce decisive moments make him one of United's most influential players. But his tendency to take risks, roam across the pitch and attempt ambitious passes can create problems when the players around him aren't positioned to compensate.

The solution isn't necessarily to drop Bruno Fernandes. It's to build a system that maximises his strengths while protecting Manchester United from his weaknesses.

Could Carlos Baleba provide the defensive security and athleticism needed to give Bruno greater freedom? Should Kobbie Mainoo play a more prominent role in controlling possession? And would moving Fernandes into a more advanced position help United create chances without leaving themselves exposed in midfield?

There are also important questions about how Bruno's role affects Matheus Cunha, Amad Diallo and the wider attacking structure.

Michael Carrick needs to make some brave decisions. Manchester United cannot continue relying on moments of individual brilliance while struggling to establish a consistent tactical identity.

So how do you solve the Bruno Fernandes problem without losing everything that makes him special?

  • Why Michael Carrick is Still in Serious Trouble after Leeds 1-1 Manchester United
    Oct 18 2026

Manchester United have dropped more points in the Premier League after a frustrating 1-1 draw against Leeds United at Elland Road, and the pressure on Michael Carrick is only getting greater.

Another disappointing result, another opportunity missed and another performance that raises serious questions about whether Carrick is the right man to take Manchester United forward.

In this Manchester United vs Leeds United post-match reaction, I'm breaking down the biggest problems from the game, Carrick's increasingly cautious approach and why his reluctance to take risks could ultimately cost him his job.

For a manager who arrived with an opportunity to establish his own identity at Old Trafford, Carrick has become increasingly difficult to understand. United have talented attacking players, exciting young prospects and individuals capable of changing games, yet the team continues to struggle to impose itself on opponents.

The biggest frustration is Carrick's apparent unwillingness to be brave.

Whether it's his starting XI, substitutions, tactical adjustments or the balance between attack and defence, Manchester United seem more concerned with avoiding defeat than finding ways to win football matches.

And that's simply not good enough.

With Carlos Baleba, Kobbie Mainoo, Bruno Fernandes, Matheus Cunha and Amad Diallo among the options available, there should be greater ambition in United's approach. Instead, familiar problems continue to surface, particularly when the team needs someone to take responsibility and change the direction of a game.

Following the Champions League defeat against Atletico Madrid, this latest setback only adds to the growing concerns surrounding Carrick's management.

Of course, Manchester United's problems extend far beyond one manager. INEOS, Jason Wilcox and the wider hierarchy must take responsibility for the direction of the football club.

But Michael Carrick is ultimately responsible for what happens on the pitch.

Has his cautious approach become Manchester United's biggest obstacle? Is he failing to get the best out of his squad? And are we approaching the point where the writing is on the wall for his future at Old Trafford?

  • Lisandro Martinez has just exposed Man United's Biggest Problem under INEOS...
    Oct 14 2026

Lisandro Martinez has sparked fresh controversy at Manchester United following his recent comments about the club's hierarchy, with his ongoing tensions involving Director of Football Jason Wilcox raising serious questions about what's happening behind the scenes at Old Trafford.

After another disappointing result against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League, the last thing Michael Carrick needs is further uncertainty surrounding his squad. But Martinez's public comments have brought the relationship between Manchester United's players and the people making decisions above them back into the spotlight.

In this video, I'm examining the growing tension surrounding Lisandro Martinez, his apparent frustrations with the Manchester United board and what his reported disagreement with Jason Wilcox could tell us about the wider problems at the club.

Wilcox has become one of the most influential figures in Manchester United's football operation, overseeing the club's sporting direction, recruitment strategy and long-term planning. But with questions already surrounding United's performances, squad construction and tactical identity, his relationship with senior players deserves closer scrutiny.

Martinez, meanwhile, has been one of United's most outspoken personalities since arriving from Ajax. His passion, leadership and willingness to speak his mind have made him a significant presence at Old Trafford, but there's a difference between holding people accountable and allowing disagreements to become another distraction.

So what exactly has caused this apparent breakdown in relations? Are Martinez's frustrations justified? Is Jason Wilcox making the right decisions for Manchester United? And what responsibility does the wider hierarchy have for ensuring everyone at the club is working towards the same objectives?

Manchester United cannot build a successful football operation without trust, communication and accountability.

And those standards must apply to everyone — from the dressing room to the boardroom.

  • Man United's Biggest Problem Strikes Again in 2-0 Loss v Atletico Madrid in the Champions League
    Oct 13 2026

Man United's Biggest Problem Strikes Again in 2-0 Loss v Atletico Madrid in the Champions League

Manchester United have suffered another disappointing defeat, losing 2-0 to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League — and once again, the same familiar problems have come back to haunt Michael Carrick's side.

After a frustrating 1-1 draw against Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League, United travelled to Madrid hoping to deliver a statement performance against Diego Simeone's Atletico Madrid. Instead, another disappointing result has raised serious questions about the direction of this Manchester United team.

In this Manchester United vs Atletico Madrid post-match reaction, I'm breaking down why United continue to struggle against organised opposition, the recurring tactical issues under Michael Carrick and what needs to change before the season slips further away.

The biggest concern isn't necessarily the quality of individual players. It's how they're being used.

From the balance of the midfield to players operating outside their most effective positions, United continue to look like a team searching for a clear identity. Carlos Baleba offers athleticism, physicality and ball-winning ability, but Carrick must find the right combination alongside Kobbie Mainoo and Bruno Fernandes to give United genuine control in midfield.

Further forward, questions remain about how to get the best out of Matheus Cunha and Amad, particularly against disciplined defensive structures like Atletico Madrid's.

And defensively, United must become far more difficult to break down if they're serious about competing at Champions League level.

One defeat away to Atletico Madrid isn't a disaster in isolation. But when the same problems keep appearing, it becomes increasingly difficult to dismiss them as individual bad performances.

Michael Carrick has some big decisions to make.

  • What We Learned About Man United This Weekend & and What MUST Change v Atletico Madrid in the Champions League
    Oct 12 2026

Michael Carrick Has Some BIG Decisions to Make at Manchester United...

Manchester United have some enormous decisions to make as attention turns towards Atletico Madrid in the Champions League, following another frustrating Premier League weekend.

After United's 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford, Michael Carrick finds himself facing some familiar questions about his team selection, tactical approach and whether he's getting the best out of the players available to him.

In this video, I'm reviewing the weekend's Premier League action, what the results mean for Manchester United's ambitions and the changes Carrick must consider before facing Diego Simeone's Atletico Madrid.

One of the biggest talking points remains United's midfield. Carlos Baleba brings a completely different physical profile to the team, but how should Carrick utilise him alongside Kobbie Mainoo and Bruno Fernandes? And are United sacrificing too much balance by trying to accommodate certain players?

There are important decisions further forward too. Matheus Cunha needs to be playing in positions where he can make the greatest impact, while Amad's return provides another opportunity to improve United's creativity, width and attacking combinations.

With Matthijs de Ligt available to strengthen the defence and increasing competition for places across the squad, Carrick has some difficult decisions to make regarding his strongest starting XI.

We'll also be looking at the wider Premier League weekend, the performances of United's rivals and what the latest results tell us about the race for European qualification.

Atletico Madrid will present a very different challenge. Diego Simeone's side are notoriously difficult to break down, physically competitive and capable of punishing teams that lack discipline or tactical organisation.

Carrick cannot afford to keep making the same mistakes.

But could this European fixture provide the perfect opportunity to make some brave decisions and finally establish Manchester United's best team?

  • What Michael Carrick Must Change after Man United 1-1 Tottenham Hotspur
    Oct 10 2026

What Michael Carrick Must Change after Man United 1-1 Tottenham Hotspur

Manchester United's frustrating 1-1 draw against Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford has raised yet more questions about Michael Carrick, his tactical approach and whether this team is genuinely progressing.

After an international break that promised a fresh start, United returned to Premier League action with another disappointing result. And while there are reasons to be optimistic about the quality within this squad, there are also recurring problems that Carrick simply cannot afford to ignore.

In this Manchester United vs Tottenham post-match analysis, I'm breaking down what needs to change if United are going to turn promising individual performances into consistent results.

From the balance of the midfield to the way United construct their attacks, Carrick needs to find a system that gets the best out of his players rather than constantly asking them to adapt to unfamiliar roles.

The introduction of Carlos Baleba offers a potential solution to United's longstanding midfield problems, but how should Carrick balance his athleticism and defensive qualities alongside Kobbie Mainoo and Bruno Fernandes?

There are equally important questions further forward. Matheus Cunha needs to be utilised in areas where he can influence games, while Amad's creativity and directness should be central to how Manchester United attack opposition defences.

Defensively, United must also become more organised, more difficult to play through and considerably better at controlling games when momentum shifts.

One draw doesn't define a season, but Manchester United cannot continue making the same mistakes and expecting different results.

Michael Carrick has the players to improve this team. Now he needs to find the right formula.

  • How Carlos Baleba's Debut can Transform Man United's Midfield under Michael Carrick
    Oct 8 2026

How Carlos Baleba's Debut can Transform Man United's Midfield under Michael Carrick this Season...

Carlos Baleba could be exactly what Manchester United's midfield has been missing for years — and his debut could mark the beginning of a completely different Manchester United under Michael Carrick.

After plenty of discussion surrounding United's midfield recruitment, the focus finally turns towards what Baleba can actually deliver on the pitch. His arrival brings a new level of physicality, athleticism and defensive intensity to a midfield that has too often struggled with transitions, second balls and controlling matches.

In this video, I'm breaking down how Michael Carrick can integrate Carlos Baleba into his Manchester United starting XI, what his debut could tell us about United's tactical direction and why his particular skill set could transform the players around him.

Baleba's ability to cover ground, win possession and carry the ball through midfield offers United something they've desperately needed. But the real question is how Carrick uses those qualities without sacrificing the technical control and creativity provided by players like Kobbie Mainoo and Bruno Fernandes.

Could Baleba and Mainoo become Manchester United's long-term midfield partnership? Does his introduction allow Bruno Fernandes greater attacking freedom? And could United finally establish a midfield capable of competing physically and technically with the Premier League's best?

One player won't solve every problem at Old Trafford, and Baleba will need time to adapt to the demands of playing for Manchester United.

But this could be the beginning of a much-needed midfield transformation.

  • The Quick Fix for Michael Carrick to Transform Manchester United's Season
    Oct 7 2026

How Michael Carrick Can Turn Man United's Season Around

Manchester United’s season hasn’t gone entirely to plan — but Michael Carrick still has the pieces available to turn it around.

And perhaps the biggest solution is also the simplest: stop overcomplicating things.

In this video, I’m looking at how Carrick can get significantly more from this Manchester United squad by putting players back into their natural roles, creating a more balanced team and building around the qualities of players like Matheus Cunha, Amad and Carlos Baleba.

Cunha could be absolutely central to that. United need to find a structure that allows him to receive the ball in the areas where he’s most dangerous, rather than asking one of the squad's most creative attacking players to constantly adapt around everyone else.

The return of Amad should help enormously. His ability to carry the ball, create chances and provide genuine threat from his natural areas gives Carrick another weapon — and potentially allows other players to return to positions that actually suit them.

Matthijs de Ligt's return could be equally important defensively, providing experience, physicality and another option as Carrick looks for a settled defensive structure.

But perhaps the biggest transformation could come through Carlos Baleba.

United's midfield has lacked the right combination of athleticism, ball-winning ability and progression for years. Baleba offers a completely different physical profile and could change how aggressively United press, how quickly they transition and, crucially, how the midfield around him is constructed.

Carrick doesn't necessarily need to reinvent Manchester United.

    He needs to simplify them.
