This week we dive into the best live record ever recorded in a prison. So far. Johnny Cash’s career resurgance comes after he plays for inmates at Folsom Prison. The Man in Black was special and this concert demonstrates exactly that. In the second half we talk about a sea change for Propagandhi. They add a second guitar to the mix. They’re not quite the prog-metal band they’re going to become and definitely not the bubble gum skate punk band they started out as. Is this the pinnacle of the most important punk back since The Clash? Listen and find out.

We aren’t talking about the 1977 Charles Bronson film, or albino bison. We’re talking about the modern day outlaw country artist! The White Buffalo had a real moment getting a bunch of songs on TV shows, even one from this record we’re talking about, but y’know, they did. And we talk about Hardcore legends Snapcase’s 3rd album Designs for Automotion. A mild change of pace for Snapcase, but damn does it go hard! Is it Automation or Automotion? Listen and find out.

Episode 019 - Death By Stereo - If looks could kill, I’d watch you die & Amy Winehouse - Back to Black

It’s a few weeks later than when I officially picked it but we finally cover Amy Winehouse’s classic album “Back to Black”. Her star burned might bright before it went out rather than fading away slowly over time. And we talk about Death By Stereo’s debut album. These guys fill a certain niche perfectly. It’s a shame more people don’t like it. These guys should be bigger than most the bands we talk about. Why aren’t they? Listen and find out.
