How did THAT happen?! 😂

For our 50th episode, we're doing something a little different. No big BTS deep dive. No pages of research. Just the two of us looking back at Coffee & Comebacks and everything that's happened since we nervously hit record for the very first time.

We're talking about our favourite episodes, the ones that surprised us, the moments that made us laugh, the things we've learned about each other, and whether doing this podcast has changed us as ARMY.

And, of course, we're calling each other out along the way. 😂

Fifty episodes later, we're realizing BTS didn't just bring the two of us together. They gave us something to build together.

We waited. And waited. And waited.

And then BTS finally took the stage at the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas.

Four songs later…it was over. 😳

So yes, Sharon and I needed to talk about it.

In this bonus reaction episode, we’re talking about our experience watching BTS close Night 1 of the festival, from the excitement of finally seeing all seven members walk onto that stage to the moment we both realized…wait. That’s it?!

🎤 The four-song set: SWIM, 2.0, MIC Drop and FYA

🔊 The broadcast sound and microphone issues that had us wondering what was going on

😳 That incredibly abrupt ending

✈️ BTS making the trip from Korea to the U.S. and then appearing onstage for such a short set

👀 The online speculation that their set may have been shortened, and the very important difference between what fans suspect and what has actually been confirmed

💜 And most importantly, BTS themselves, because none of our frustration with what we watched changes how we felt about seeing OT7 together onstage.

The question we kept coming back to was:

Were we disappointed in BTS’s performance…or were we disappointed in the way BTS’s performance was presented to us?

Because those are two VERY different things.

📌 A little context after we recorded: We went back and looked at the documented Night 1 setlists. BTS performed just four songs, the fewest songs of the six Night 1 acts.

That certainly puts our “Wait…that was it?!” reaction into perspective.

But one thing matters: no one has officially confirmed that BTS had additional songs planned or that their set was cut short. We talk about that possibility in the episode because ARMY was widely discussing it, but we’re not presenting the speculation as fact.

This is very much our morning-after ARMY reaction: surprised, confused, a little frustrated…and still incredibly proud of our seven guys.

BTS may be some of the biggest performers in the world... but put all seven of them together onstage and apparently all bets are off. 😂

Plus, we hand out our very own ARIRANG Chaos Awards and make the difficult decision of crowning one member the ARIRANG Tour Chaos King. 👑😂

Some moments happened once. Some became running jokes throughout the tour. And some left us wondering how Namjoon managed to survive the other six.
