  • Six Pillars of Lifestyle Medicine
    Oct 21 2026
Dr Oluwakemi Ogunsan, a board-certified internal and lifestyle medicine physician, certified life and relationship coach, and founder of New Vibrance Coaching and Consulting, discusses wellness as an invitation to wholeness, purpose, and connection with Christ at the center. Dr. Ogunsan explains lifestyle medicine as therapeutic life interventions to prevent, treat, and reverse chronic illness through six pillars: whole-food, plant-predominant nutrition; physical activity (150 minutes moderate or 75 minutes vigorous weekly plus strength training); stress management; restorative sleep; avoiding risky substances (alcohol, tobacco, harmful substances); and positive social connection, which she calls the "secret glue." She adds an unofficial seventh pillar—daily exposure to nature (about 120 minutes weekly). She also introduces the PERMA model (positive emotion, engagement, relationships, meaning, accomplishment) and shares the Blue Zones "Moai" example from Okinawa to illustrate how relationships support health and longevity. • The Power of Reinvention
    Oct 8 2026
Dr. Tanisha Guy, a nationally recognized thought leader with 26 years in mental health, 21 years teaching, and 17 years in private practice, discusses how setbacks can become the start of the greatest success. Dr. Guy explains pivoting into entrepreneurship coaching after being unexpectedly let go from academia and realizing clinicians aren't trained to be business owners. She shares how learning she had dyslexia (and dyscalculia) helped her understand her brain, complete her dissertation, and reframe neurodivergence as a "superpower" for spotting patterns and strategies. Dr. Guy emphasizes mindset, perception, resilience, and viewing outcomes as teachable moments—"fail fast"—and urges women to act despite imperfection: "do it afraid…done is better than perfect."
